qualifications and skill set to fill the vacancies in an organization. The selection process

NEED FOR THE STUDY
What type of Hr practices and strategies that the company follows for the recruitment
process of their required employees and how they provide the recruitment service to
their employees.
To know the gap between current manpower and desired manpower of this company
as well as their clients recruitment.
To know how to select prospective candidates on the basis of “recruitment process” for
the job recruitment of their organization’s own need as well as their different clients
need.
SCOPE OF THE STUDY
The study to confine on executives, clerks and workers of Penna Cement Industries
Limited only.
Within that period I have collected information about 15 factors like overall Recruitment
and Selection in Penna Cement Industries Limited only like how people recruited.
What are the cadres, whether the recruitment is done on the of basic skills,
qualifications, experience or on referral basis, whether the company following any
campus selection etc.,

It's Aims To understand the policies and procedures of recruitment and selection in the

To measure the satisfaction level of the employees about recruitment and selection
procedure.

PRIMARY DATA COLLECTION:
Primary data is also known as the data collected for the first time through the field survey .
SECONDARY DATA COLLECTION:
Secondary data refers to the information or facts already collected by someone else and
passed through the statistical tools.
LIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY
The sample size for survey is limited to 120.
Getting accurate responses from the employees difficult due to their busy schedule.
Time constraint.
FINDINGS
It's found that 20% of the respondents say that recruitment process is Excellent, 60%
of the respondents Say that good, 15% of the respondents say that recruitment is
Average, 3% of the respondents says that recruitment process is poor and 2% of the
respondents believe that recruitment process is very poor.
It's found that 60% of employees came to know about the requirements in the
company through the employees working in the organization, rest of 20% of
consultancy, 10% of e-mails, 2% of print media, 8% of job portals.
It's found that 60% of respondents are said that penna cement is excellent, 20% of
respondents are said good, 10% of respondents said average, 6% of respondents said
poor, 4% of respondents said very poor.
It's found that 20% of employees says that selection process is Excellent, 50% of
employees says that good, 15% of employees says that selection process is Average,
10% of employees says that poor, 5% of employees says that is very poor.
It's found that 60% of the Customers Says that Penna Cement satisfies the Needs
and Wants of the Customers, 24% of the Customers says that Penna Cement does
not Satisfies the Customers an 16% of the Customers says that Penna Cement
Marginally Satisfies the Customer Needs and Wants.
SUGGESTIONS
On the basis of above study carried out by me, the following suggestions are
submitted
To increase the recruitment facilities of Penna cement in such area there is it need of
time-to-time demo program, seminars & meetings.
There is a need of more promotional activities especially in such agents and
Employees.
The company should reduce the bond amount and specially the exact bond period.
The company can adopt some more recruitment source of like print media, job mala,
in recruiting the candidates.
CONCLUSION
Though it is a big organization, but for every organization growth is based on its
employees. Penna Cement Industries Ltd., is satisfying moderately its employees at
recruitment procedures. By modernizing the present policy the Penna Cement Industries
Limited, organization will achieve good results.
