Ateez Precure!
by joongtism
Summary
Jeong Yunho was an ordinary ninth-grader with an extraordinary sense of responsibility.
Always looking out for his friends, he was the type of person who put others before himself.
His seven closest friends—Hongjoong, Seonghwa, San, Mingi, Wooyoung, Yeosang, and
Jongho—were more like brothers to him, even though they were all completely different in
personality and quirks. Together, they called themselves “Ateez,” and their bond was
unbreakable.
But Yunho had a secret—a secret even he hadn’t fully come to terms with.

Chapter Summary
Yunho is oblivious to what this Ateez Pact does, but he figures it out when someone or
something crashes into his room.
Chapter Notes
au: probably the best thing i’ve ever wrote LMFAOOOO
It started one late afternoon as the eight of them walked home from school, laughing about an
embarrassing moment Wooyoung had in gym class. Yunho lagged behind, a strange weight in
his pocket distracting him. He fished it out—a small, shining device shaped like a compact,
with a glowing compartment in the middle. It radiated warmth and light, almost like it was
alive.
“Yunho, you good?” San called, noticing his friend’s unusual silence.
“Y-Yeah,” Yunho stammered, quickly tucking the object back into his pocket.
Later that night, while everyone else in the house slept, Yunho sat at his desk, staring at the
device. He pressed the button, and the compact opened, revealing eight slots around a central
mirror, each glowing faintly with a different color. Yunho’s was a vivid blue.
“What is this thing…?” he muttered.
Suddenly, a bright beam of light shot from the device, filling the room. A voice echoed in his
mind:
“Jeong Yunho, you have been chosen. You are Precure.”
Before he could ask what that meant, his window burst open, and a shadowy figure lunged
toward him.
The figure—an otherworldly creature covered in dark mist—cackled as it advanced. Yunho
scrambled backward, clutching the compact.
“W-What do I do?” he shouted.
“Insert your charm into the Ateez Pact!” the voice instructed.
The glowing blue charm appeared in Yunho’s hand, as if summoned by his will. Trembling,
he inserted it into the central compartment of the Ateez Pact.
“Precure! Ateez Charge!”
A surge of energy enveloped him. The room disappeared, replaced by a swirling void of light.
His body felt weightless as his school uniform transformed into an elaborate blue-and-silver
outfit, complete with boots, gloves, and a flowing cape. A crest of stars shimmered on his
chest.
When the light faded, Yunho stood tall, feeling stronger and more confident than ever. He
raised a hand, his voice steady and clear:
“An inception that lasts forever! Cure Inception!”
With newfound power, Yunho faced the creature. Guided by instinct, he unleashed a burst of
shimmering light, dispelling the darkness surrounding it. The creature dissolved, leaving
behind a small, corrupted charm. Yunho picked it up, wondering what it could mean.
Before he could dwell on it, the voice returned:
“You are not alone, Cure Inception. Seven others are destined to stand with you. Together,
you will protect the harmony of this world.”
Yunho’s thoughts immediately turned to his friends.
Seven Others? Oh, I’m Hopeless!
Chapter Summary
Yunho is shocked to realize that there are seven others joining him. Is it really his
friends?

au: second chapter is here!!! hope you like it <3
The next day, Yunho’s mind raced as he watched his friends joke around during lunch. Could
it be them? The voice had said seven others.
His thoughts were interrupted when a shadow fell over the schoolyard. Another creature,
larger and more menacing than the last, appeared.
“Everyone, run!” Yunho shouted.
As his friends scattered, Yunho summoned the Ateez Pact. But before he could transform, he
noticed something incredible—his friends each had glowing charms in their hands.
One by one, the voice called to them:
“Hongjoong, Seonghwa, San, Mingi, Wooyoung, Yeosang, Jongho—you have been chosen!”
Confused but determined, they followed Yunho’s lead, inserting their charms into their own
Ateez Pacts.
“Precure! Ateez Charge!”
Lights of different colors engulfed them, transforming each into a Precure.
Hongjoong was the first to transform after Yunho. His red and gold outfit shimmered like
flames. “A melody that inspires all! Cure Leader!”
Seonghwa followed, his outfit a blend of soft white and pink. “A brilliance that shines
endlessly! Cure Radiance!”
San’s transformation burst forth with energy, his orange and black ensemble crackling with
electricity. “A fire that never dies! Cure Blaze!”
Mingi’s outfit glimmered with earthy greens and browns. “A strength that breaks barriers!
Cure Titan!”
Yeosang’s transformation radiated with golden light, his yellow and white attire exuding
warmth. “A grace that balances all! Cure Harmony!”
Wooyoung spun into his transformation, his purple and silver outfit dazzling with mischief. A
wind that lifts all spirits! Cure Zephyr!”
Finally, Jongho stood firm in a bold indigo and black ensemble. “A resolve as strong as
stone! Cure Valor!”
As the eight of them stood together, a radiant energy enveloped them.
“Resonate! Our Harmony is Strong! Ateez Precure!” they declared, their voices harmonizing
like a powerful chord.
Their combined strength easily defeated the creature, purifying it back into a harmless charm.
Exhausted but exhilarated, they gathered in a circle.
“Yunho,” Hongjoong began, still catching his breath. “What is going on?”
Yunho smiled, holding up the Ateez Pact. “I think we’re something more than just friends
now. We’re a team—Ateez Precure.”
And with that, their journey as heroes began. Together, they would uncover the mysteries of
their new powers, face the darkness threatening their world, and prove that the harmony of
friendship was the strongest force of all.
The Shadows Strike Back?!
Chapter Summary
Yunho and the others are still trying to figure out their powers and everything, but when
darkness comes back, they won’t have time.
Chapter Notes
au: chapter 3!!! >_< i hope you enjoy!!
The eight friends gathered in Yunho’s room that evening, the events of the day still fresh in
their minds. Each of them now held an Ateez Pact, their individual charms glowing softly in
their respective colors. The once-simple dynamic of their friendship had shifted in an instant.
“What are these things?” Mingi asked, flipping his Pact open and inspecting the
compartments.
“And what was that… monster?” Yeosang added, his calm voice tinged with unease.
Before Yunho could respond, the voice that had guided him earlier filled the room.
“Greetings, Precure. I am Harmony, a guardian spirit tasked with protecting the balance of
this world.”
The glowing mirror in Yunho’s Pact shimmered, revealing a small, ethereal figure—a being
of pure light.
“Harmony?” Wooyoung said, leaning closer. “You’re the one who told Yunho to transform,
aren’t you?”
“Indeed. The darkness you faced today is called the Dissonance, a force that seeks to disrupt
the harmony of this world. They corrupt the essence of life itself, creating chaos and despair.
The eight of you have been chosen to fight back as Precure and restore balance.”
“Why us?” Hongjoong asked, his expression serious. “We’re just a group of students. There
must be people more qualified for this.”
“Your bond as friends is your greatest strength. Together, your hearts resonate with a
harmony powerful enough to defeat the Dissonance.”
San grinned, punching his palm. “Sounds good to me. I’m ready to take them on again!”
“Hold on,” Seonghwa said, his tone measured. “This isn’t just a game. If those creatures
show up again, people could get hurt. Are we really prepared for this?”
“We have to be,” Yunho said firmly. “If we don’t stop them, who will?”
The room fell silent as the weight of Yunho’s words sank in. Then Jongho spoke up, his voice
steady. “I’m with Yunho. If we’ve been chosen, we can’t just ignore it.”
One by one, the others nodded in agreement.
“Fine,” Wooyoung said, leaning back dramatically. “But I better get a cool attack move out of
this!”
Harmony’s light flickered, almost as if it was laughing.
“Very well. Your training begins tomorrow. For now, rest and prepare. The Dissonance will
not wait long before striking again.”
The Next Day..
It was supposed to be a normal school day. The group tried to go about their routines, but
their minds were preoccupied with their new roles as Precure. Yunho kept glancing out the
window, half-expecting another attack.
By lunchtime, it seemed like nothing unusual was going to happen. The eight of them
gathered at their usual spot in the schoolyard, relieved to have some semblance of normalcy.
That’s when the air grew heavy.
A dark cloud rolled in out of nowhere, casting the schoolyard into shadow. Students began to
panic as a monstrous figure emerged from the mist, its form twisted and grotesque.
“It’s them again,” Seonghwa said, his voice low.
“Let’s go,” Hongjoong commanded, already clutching his Pact.
The group ran to an empty part of the school grounds, away from the other students.
“Everyone ready?” Yunho asked, holding up his Pact.
The others nodded, determination in their eyes.
“Precure! Ateez Charge!”
One by one, they inserted their charms into their Ateez Pacts, transforming into their Precure
forms. Their outfits glimmered with energy, each uniquely styled to match their personality.
Together, they shouted in unison: “Resonate! Our harmony is strong! Ateez Precure!”
The creature roared, its dark energy surging toward them.
“Let’s work together!” Yunho called.
The group launched into action, their instincts guiding them. Cure Titan and Cure Valor took
the front, using their strength to block the creature’s attacks. Cure Blaze and Cure Zephyr
flanked it, distracting it with agile movements, while Cure Radiance and Cure Harmony
provided support with dazzling beams of light.
Yunho and Hongjoong stood at the center, channeling their energy.
“Everyone, focus your power on me!” Cure Leader shouted.
The others nodded, their energies converging into a single point. Hongjoong raised his hand,
releasing a brilliant burst of light that overwhelmed the creature, purifying it back into a
harmless charm.
As the battle ended, the group reverted to their normal forms, exhausted but triumphant.
“That was amazing!” Wooyoung exclaimed, still buzzing with adrenaline.
“We’re getting the hang of this,” Mingi said, cracking a grin.
Yunho looked at the purified charm in his hand, his expression thoughtful. “This is only the
beginning. We still have a lot to learn.”
Hongjoong placed a hand on his shoulder. “We’ll face it together, Yunho. As Ateez Precure.”
The group nodded in agreement, their bond stronger than ever.
But far away, in a shadowy realm, a sinister figure watched them through a swirling portal.
“So, the Precure have awakened,” it murmured. “Let’s see how long they can hold out against
the full force of the Dissonance.”
The Strong Dissonance Is Terrifying!
Chapter Summary
The Dissonance are targeting Ateez more and more everyday. And they seem to be
getting stronger.
Chapter Notes
chapter 4!! sorry this is a bit late!
The shadowy figure, shrouded in an aura of malevolent energy, paced in the dim expanse of
the Dissonance realm. Their voice echoed through the void, commanding and cold.
“They’re stronger than expected,” the figure muttered, staring into the portal that showed
Yunho and his friends laughing together at school. Their cheerful camaraderie made the
figure’s blackened heart burn with disdain.
A twisted servant emerged from the shadows, bowing low. “What are your orders, my lord?”
The figure smiled darkly. “We’ll break them, one by one. Start with the weakest link.”
The next few days passed relatively quietly for Yunho and the others, though they all
remained on edge. Each of them carried their Ateez Pact at all times, ready to transform at a
moment’s notice.
“Does anyone else feel like we’re being watched?” Yeosang said one afternoon as they sat on
the school’s rooftop.
“I thought it was just me,” Seonghwa admitted.
“It’s not paranoia,” Yunho said, his voice firm. “The Dissonance isn’t going to stop. They’re
planning something, I can feel it.”
“Then let them come,” San said, cracking his knuckles. “I’ve been itching for a rematch!”
Hongjoong frowned. “This isn’t just about fighting, San. We need to figure out why the
Dissonance is attacking and what they’re after.”
Harmony’s soft voice chimed from Yunho’s Pact. “The Dissonance thrives on corrupted
emotions. They seek to spread despair and disrupt the harmony of this world. Their goal is to
unravel the bonds that hold people together.”
“That’s not going to happen,” Wooyoung said confidently. “They don’t stand a chance
against us!”
Jongho, ever the realist, crossed his arms. “We’ve been lucky so far, but we don’t know the
full extent of their power. We need to be prepared for anything.”
Later that evening, as the group walked home together, the air grew unnaturally cold. The sky
darkened despite the time, and a low, eerie hum filled the air.
“Something’s wrong,” Yunho said, stopping in his tracks.
Before anyone could respond, a swirling vortex of shadow appeared in the middle of the
street. From it emerged a creature larger and more menacing than any they had faced before.
It stood over ten feet tall, its body made of shifting, jagged black mist.
“It’s targeting us directly,” Seonghwa said, his voice tense.
The group quickly moved to a nearby park to avoid drawing attention. Yunho raised his Pact,
his voice steady.
“Precure! Ateez Charge!”
The others followed suit, inserting their charms into their Pacts. In a brilliant flash of light,
they transformed.
“Resonate! Our harmony is strong! Ateez Precure!”
The creature roared, its dark energy pulsating in waves. It lashed out with tendrils of shadow,
forcing the group to split up.
“Stay focused!” Yunho called, dodging an attack.
Cure Blaze and Cure Zephyr worked together to distract the creature, darting around it and
striking from different angles. Cure Titan and Cure Valor held the front line, blocking its
powerful strikes with sheer strength.
Meanwhile, Cure Leader and Cure Inception coordinated their efforts.
“We need to aim for its core!” Hongjoong shouted, pointing to a glowing red spot on the
creature’s chest.
“Got it!” Yunho replied, signaling to the others.
Cure Radiance and Cure Harmony combined their powers, creating a dazzling beam of light
that temporarily blinded the creature. Taking advantage of the opening, Cure Titan and Cure
Valor charged forward, delivering a devastating double strike to its core.
The creature staggered, but it wasn’t finished yet. It unleashed a shockwave of dark energy,
knocking the group back.
“We need to end this now!” Yunho said, getting to his feet. “Everyone, focus your energy!”
The team formed a circle, their powers intertwining. The Ateez Pacts glowed brightly as their
collective energy built into a crescendo.
“Final Harmony Strike!” they shouted together, releasing a massive burst of light.
The energy engulfed the creature, purifying it completely. As the shadows dissipated, a single
charm floated to the ground, no longer corrupted.
The group reverted to their normal forms, exhaustion etched on their faces.
“That was way tougher than last time,” Mingi said, sitting down on the grass.
“They’re getting stronger,” Yeosang said quietly.
“But so are we,” Yunho added, holding up the purified charm. “As long as we stay together,
we can handle anything.”
The mysterious figure watched the battle unfold through the swirling portal.
“They’ve proven resilient,” the figure said, their tone cold. “But no bond is unbreakable. I’ll
find their weakness… and when I do, their harmony will shatter.”
A new plan began to take shape, one that would test the very foundation of Ateez Precure’s
friendship.
