Coverage rates are based on our own tests but could vary depending on surface profile, porosity of the surface
and method of application. Please ensure you have the correct amount of product to complete the job before
starting. Coloured finishes should only be applied from the same batch of paint. Where more than one batch
is available, all batches should be boxed together before applying to maintain continuity of colour and finish.

Preparation:
The substrate must be thoroughly clean, dry and free from loose flaking material, dirt, grease and vegetative
growth. Badly degraded areas should be repaired before painting, cracks should be filled with a suitable tarmac
repair and concrete should also be suitably repaired but must be left to cure correctly depending on the repair
system used. If the overall surface is loose and friable, you may need to apply a primer coat of APG149 Binder
before proceeding. The key to a successful finish and to maximise durability is in the amount of time spent on
surface preparation; lack of suitable preparation will lead to the coating not correctly bonding to the surface.
Application:
Brush or roller application only. Supplied ready for use for brushing and rolling. When applying by roller, only
use a good quality synthetic medium pile or sheep skin roller.

Ensure PQL149 is well mixed before and during application to ensure the fine non-slip aggregate is evenly
disbursed throughout the process. When applying, be certain not to overload the surface as this coating is
designed to give a coloured dressing to the court especially on self-draining tarmac to retain the court’s ability
to drain correctly. Failure to do this will cause water to sit on the surface and cause issues with the
performance of the paint coating. Overcoating can also cause the court to become slippery when the surface
becomes wet. Only two coats are normally required using the paint as supplied, although extra coats may be
needed for certain colours.

Health & Safety: Please see MSDS sheet 300E5.

PLEASE NOTE: YOU SHOULD NOT ATTEMPT SPRAY APPLICATION UNLESS YOU ARE A QUALIFIED,
PROFESSIONAL SPRAYER.

If you are unsure about any of the procedures or have any questions, please call or email our Technical Team.
We always recommend that a trial adhesion test is carried out to ensure suitability of the product on the
surface you are trying to coat. Please contact our Technical Team if you are in any doubts before proceeding
and please remember surface preparation is one of the key factors in achieving a good paint finish. This is
time well spent as you will be rewarded with a better finish.

Important Note:
For internal and external work, maximum ventilation is required. To assist drying if the air flow is insufficient,
fans or other mechanical methods of circulating air should be adopted. Precautions must be taken to prevent
operators from inhaling the vapours during application; this may need the assistance of a second operative to
monitor the first operative when carrying out application of pre-treatment and coatings. Please ensure PPE
requirements are followed at all times.

Most of our products are for professional and trade/contractor use only and are not intended for DIY
application. Before using any product, please read the appropriate Material Safety Data Sheet stated above.
