A) VOLLEYBALL:
Volleyball is a team sport where two teams of six players each compete to score points by
sending a ball over a net and grounding it in the opponent's court. The game was invented in
1895 by ‘William G. Morgan, originally called "mintonette" before being renamed volleyball.
It has been an Olympic sport since 1964, with variations like beach volleyball and sitting
volleyball for the Paralympics.
Here’s a quick overview of five essential volleyball skills: attack, block, service, upper
hand pass, and lower hand pass, including what they are and when they’re used:
1. Attack (Spike)
What it is: A powerful, downward hit of the ball over the net, aiming to score a point.
Key techniques:
o Approach (usually a 3- or 4-step run)
o Jump timing
o Arm swing with wrist snap
When it’s used: After a set, to try and finish the play with a point.
2. Block
What it is: A defensive skill used to stop or deflect an opponent’s attack at the net.
Key techniques:
o Timing the jump with the attacker
o Hands over the net and firm
o Positioning based on the hitter
When it’s used: At the net, especially after reading the opposing team’s setter and
hitters.
3. Service (Serve)
What it is: The act of putting the ball into play by hitting it over the net from behind
the end line.

B) ATHLETICS:
An athlete is someone who is proficient in sports or physical activities that require strength,
speed, endurance, or skill. Athletes can be professionals or amateurs, competing in various sports
like running, swimming, football, gymnastics, and more. The term comes from the Greek word
athlētēs, meaning "one who competes for a prize"
In athletics (track events), the event you choose can depend on the size and type of ground
available. Here’s a list of common track events and suggestions based on available space:
Short Distance Required (Small or Limited Ground Space)
1. 100m Sprint
What it is: A short burst of speed from the start line to the finish.
Space needed: Straight 100m stretch — ideal for school grounds or open fields.
Key skills: Explosive start, sprint technique, finish.
2. Relay (4x100m or 4x50m if space is small)
What it is: A team event where each runner passes a baton.
Space needed: Can be adjusted to shorter distances if full track isn't available.
Key skills: Speed, baton passing, teamwork.
3. 40m or 60m Dash (Modified Sprint for Small Grounds)
What it is: A mini-sprint ideal for small areas.
Space needed: Just 40–60 meters.
Use case: Great for physical education classes or warm-ups.

Medium Ground (Partial Track or Circular Path)
4. 200m or 400m Run
What it is: One or two laps around a smaller field or circular path.
Space needed: Enough for a loop or half-standard track.
Key skills: Pacing, speed endurance.
5. Hurdles (e.g., 50m hurdles)
What it is: Sprinting with low barriers.
Space needed: A straight section with adjustable hurdles.
Key skills: Agility, coordination, rhythm.

Conclusion
Ethics and moral values play a crucial role in shaping sports and games, ensuring
fairness, respect, and integrity among players, coaches, and officials. Ethics in sports
emphasize honesty, fair play, and adherence to rules, fostering an environment where
competition remains balanced and just. Moral values, such as teamwork, discipline, and
respect, extend beyond the field, influencing athletes' personal and professional lives.
By embracing ethical principles and moral values, sports become more than just a
game—they serve as a platform for character building and social development. Whether in
victory or defeat, athletes who uphold these values inspire others, making sports a powerful
tool for personal growth and societal progress. In the end, true success in sports is not just
about winning but about playing with honor and integrity.
Efficient organization and administration in physical education ensure that programs
are inclusive, goal-oriented, and developmentally appropriate. They lay the foundation for a
lifelong appreciation of physical fitness, health, and ethical sports behavior.
