can definitely be cruel, but I've noticed that it can also be
full of hope. | was once having a bad day when a single
flake of snow fell on me. It was so small and beautiful
that it completely lifted my mood. | think the way nature
influences our mood depends on a variety of factors. | felt
hope because | saw the beauty in a single snowflake. But
had | seen a hailstorm that destroyed a farm, I'm sure |
would have been hopeless too.
Lencho : It’s interesting you say that you found hope in
nature. For me, | found hope and faith in God. And you're
right, there are definitely a lot of factors that contribute
to how nature can influence our mood.
Once the hailstorm was over my entire field was covered
in a sheet of white. Anyone else seeing that may have felt
it was beautiful and the view may have lifted their spirits.
But since that sheet of white meant that all my hard work
had gone to waste and my family would go hungry, to me,
it only represented sorrow.
Robert Frost : Yes, we may not know whether nature
can influence someone's mood in a good way or a bad
way, but what we do know is that nature is powerful and
capable of affecting our moods and feelings. (6)Multiple Choice Questions (1mark)

Qa2 poem by Robert Frost. In the poem, the
poet talks about how both fire and ice can bring an’ end
tothe world. The poet explains how fire represents desire
and ice represents indifference, and excess of either can
destroy a relationship and be enough to bring an end to
this world.
The poet begins the poem by analysing the two probable
causes for the end of the world. He considers the age.

Fire and Ice
-Robert Frost
the poet favours the people who think that the world
will end in fire. Fire equals to desire and can consume the
World. Next, the poet says that ice will result in hatred
that will eventually destroy humanity. The poet also fears
the world would be destroyed twice. Ice can destroy the
world, by slowly melting away. Both the things can slowly
consume the world. Therefore the poet suggests to be far
avvay from hatred and desire. One should be away from
hatred and jealousy and live together with harmony and
love. The poet warns us that if we do not do so, the world
will face more trouble and face human fallacy.
