■ Home Treatment Guide for Cold, Cough, Fever &

Fatigue

Rest & Hydration


• Take plenty of rest – your body needs energy to fight infection.
• Drink warm fluids: herbal tea, soup, honey water.
• Stay hydrated – at least 8–10 glasses of water daily.

Fever Care
• Use a cool damp cloth on the forehead for high fever.
• Wear light cotton clothes, ensure good ventilation.
• Take Paracetamol (as per doctor’s advice) if fever >100.4°F (38°C).

Cough & Cold Relief


• Steam inhalation (plain water or with eucalyptus oil).
• Salt water gargles 2–3 times daily.
• Honey + warm water/lemon helps soothe the throat.
• Avoid cold drinks, ice creams, and oily foods.

Diet & Immunity


• Eat light meals (khichdi, dal, soups, boiled veggies).
• Take Vitamin C rich foods (oranges, amla, lemon, kiwi).
• Include garlic, ginger, turmeric milk for recovery.

■■ When to See a Doctor


• High fever >102°F (39°C) not coming down with medicine.
• Severe cough with green/yellow mucus or blood.
• Shortness of breath or chest pain.
• Fever lasting more than 4–5 days.
• Extreme weakness, dizziness, or dehydration.
