OakBMUN 2025 – Code of Conduct
Oakridge International School, Bachupally
This Code of Conduct applies to all individuals participating in OakBMUN 2025.
Participants are expected to uphold the highest standards of behavior throughout the event.
Any violations may lead to serious consequences, including but not limited to: ineligibility to
continue or participate in future OakBMUN conferences, cancellation of the participation
certificate, or permanent expulsion.
OakBMUN 2025 brings together students from across Hyderabad for a high-impact Model
United Nations experience. To ensure a respectful, inclusive, and professional environment,
all participants must understand and follow the expectations outlined below.

1. Introduction
1.1 All participants must agree to and comply with this Code of Conduct.
1.2 Each participant must sign and submit the following before the start of the conference:
a. Liability Release Form – OakBMUN 2025
b. Technology Release Form – OakBMUN 2025
1.3 In the case of a minor, at least one parent or guardian must also sign the above
documents.
1.4 Participants who do not submit the required documents will not be allowed to participate
in any OakBMUN 2025 activities.
1.5 Key definitions used in this document:
a. “Age of majority” refers to the older of the ages defined by the UN Convention on the
Rights of the Child and Section 3 of the Indian Majority Act, 1875.
b. “OakBMUN 2025” refers to the Oakridge Bachupally Model United Nations 2025.
c. “Complainant” is an individual who raises a concern regarding a violation of this code.
d. “Host” refers to the OakBMUN 2025 Secretariat and Organising Committee.
e. “Participant” includes delegates, IP members, Executive Board members, volunteers, and
attendees in any capacity.
2. Behavioural Expectations
2.1 Participants must treat each other with respect, both during and outside committee
sessions.
2.2 Delegates and Executive Board members must engage in non-confrontational and
constructive dialogue during feedback exchanges.
2.3 The following are strictly prohibited during committee sessions:
a. Use of mobile phones without prior permission.
b. Use of Wi-Fi or conducting research unless explicitly approved by the Executive Board.
3. Prohibited Substances and Items
3.1 Participants are strictly prohibited from consuming or possessing any substances they are
not legally permitted to possess in India.
3.2 The following are not allowed:
a. Alcohol or recreational drugs at any point during the conference.
b. Cigarettes, vapes, e-cigarettes, nicotine-based edibles, or other banned products within the
campus or affiliated venues.
4. Dress Code
4.1 Participants must adhere to the formal dress code for all days of OakBMUN 2025 except
during the Social Night.
4.2 Acceptable attire during committee sessions includes business formals and traditional
attire for certain committees (Lok Sabha) and social night.
5. Reporting Misconduct
5.1 Any participant who witnesses or experiences a breach of the Code of Conduct is
encouraged to report it to the OakBMUN 2025 Secretariat or a member of the Organising
Committee.
5.2 The Secretariat will handle complaints with discretion and seriousness.
5.3 Breaches that must be reported include, but are not limited to:
a. Violence or threats
b. Sexual harassment, stalking, or physical harassment
c. Use or distribution of illegal substances
d. Being under the influence of substances that compromise decorum
e. Inappropriate relationships or conduct between participants
f. Willful damage to property (school, public, or venue)
6. Disciplinary Actions
6.1 Upon receiving a complaint or identifying a breach, the Secretariat may:
a. Issue a verbal or written warning
b. Remove the participant from a session
c. Suspend the participant for the remainder of the conference
d. Revoke the participation certificate
e. Ban the participant from future OakBMUN conferences
6.2 The Secretariat reserves the right to report serious violations to relevant authorities,
including the school administration or legal officials.
