Project Presentation Competition

1. Competition Detail:

● The SPCE SAE Collegiate Club is proud to announce its outstanding event, the
Project Presentation Competition! This exciting competition offers a platform
for creative minds from across the country to showcase their outstanding
projects and innovative design skills while fostering a spirit of collaboration and
sustainability.

2. Guidelines:

● Participants must be present on the event day.


● Participants must create a PPT with a maximum of 7 slides.
● Participants must carry their project along with them to the competition. If
there are any issues, they must inform the coordinators beforehand.
● Participants must wear formal attire for the competition.
● 10 minutes will be given for the project presentation, followed by 2 - 3
minutes of Q&A.
● Copied material or design will lead to disqualification.
● Last date of the Presentation submission: 14th September 2025
● Only participants present on the event day will receive participation
certificates.

3. Topics for Project Presentation:

1. Magnetic Levitation Systems: Engineering the Future of


Frictionless Mobility
2. Exploring Drone Technologies: Functionality, Limitations, and
Future Challenges
3. High-Speed Rail for Long-Distance Travel: Engineering Safer,
Smarter, and More Reliable Solutions
4. Any other topic relevant to mobility engineering.

4. Format of Presentation:

● Presentation Outline:
1. Introduction: Briefly explain the project's purpose and significance.
2. Problem Statement: Clearly define the problem the project addresses.

3. Objectives: Stating the goals of the project.

4. Methodology: Describing the approach and methods used.

5. Results: Presenting the findings and outcomes.

6. Discussion: Interpreting the results and their implications.

7. Conclusion: Summarize the key findings and conclusions.

8. Future Work: Suggesting potential future research directions.

5. Objectives:

1. Communication Skills: Students learn to articulate technical ideas


effectively, tailoring their language to the audience's understanding, along

with body language, eye contact, and posture, which are important aspects of
effective presentation delivery

2. Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: Students analyze the current real-life


problems and learn to apply their technical knowledge to propose and
evaluate potential solutions. Preparing for and responding to questions from
the audience improves critical thinking and communication skills.

3. Teamwork and Collaboration: Engineering projects often involve teamwork,


requiring students to collaborate effectively and contribute to a shared goal.

4. Presentation skills: Gaining confidence and comfort in presenting in front of


an audience is a crucial outcome.

6. Registration Process

● Eligibility: Open to undergraduate and postgraduate students in engineering


across all disciplines.

● Maximum Team Size: Teams can have a maximum of 4 members.

● Steps:

1. Please fill out the Google Form for registration (the link will be
shared via [Insert Medium, e.g., email/website/social media]).

2. Provide the following details in the form:

Team member names, roll numbers, and contact information.

3. Upload proof of payment (for non-SAE members) in the Google


Form.

● Deadline: All registrations must be completed before the deadline

● Confirmation: Participants will receive a confirmation email with their
team ID, event schedule, and submission instructions.

7. Disqualification Criteria

● Teams may face disqualification for the following reasons:

1. Plagiarism and Academic Dishonesty: Submitting work that is not original


or failing to properly cite sources will likely result in disqualification. Any
form of cheating, including using prohibited software or unauthorized
assistance, is a serious offense.
2. Time Management: Adhering to presentation time limits is crucial.
Exceeding the allotted time can lead to penalties or disqualification.

3. Code of Conduct: Maintaining professional and respectful behaviour is


expected. Toxicity, harassment, or abusive language will not be tolerated.

4. Rule Adherence: Participants must comply with all rules and regulations set
by the competition organizers. This includes submitting required documents,
adhering to formatting guidelines, and using permitted devices.

5. Incomplete or False Information: Providing inaccurate or misleading


information during registration or in the project itself is a serious breach of
conduct. Submitting an incomplete project or failing to meet the competition's
requirements will likely lead to disqualification.

6. Technical Issues: While some technical issues may be understandable,


consistently failing to ensure the project's functionality or properly prepare for
the presentation can be a factor in disqualification. Teams should ensure they
have all necessary components, software, and backup files for their project.

7. Decision of the Judges: The decisions made by the competition judges are
typically final and binding.

8. Prize Distribution

● Prizes up to ₹10000/- will be provided to the winners.

● Ceremony: Prizes will be distributed on 28th September 2025 at SPJIMR


auditorium, Bhavans campus, Andheri(W).
● Digital participation certificates will be provided to everyone.

● The winners will be presented with a hard copy of the certificate during the
award ceremony.

● 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes will be distributed to the entire winning group and
not to individual participants.

9. Judges:

o The panel includes experts from academia and industry.


o Each judge assigns marks independently, and the average score determines
the final result.
o Judges’ decisions are final and binding.
