1. Know the Exam Pattern & Syllabus

Economy, Labour Laws, Current Affairs, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, and Social
Security.
● Interview: Tests subject knowledge, personality, and current awareness.

schemes.
● General Science & Environment: NCERTs + recent developments.
3. Current Affairs (Very Important)
● Read The Hindu or Indian Express.
● Monthly compilations (Vision IAS, Insights, Drishti).
● Focus on government policies, labour reforms, social security, and international reports.
4. Quantitative Aptitude & Reasoning
● Practice daily from books like RS Aggarwal or Quantitative Aptitude by Arun Sharma.
● Focus on speed and accuracy – UPSC EPFO is time-bound.
5. English & Comprehension
● Practice grammar (Wren & Martin / SP Bakshi).
● Regularly solve comprehension passages and error-spotting questions.
6. Answer Writing & Mock Tests
● Take previous years’ papers (2017, 2021 EPFO).
● Enroll in a mock test series to improve time management.
● Revise mistakes from mocks thoroughly.
