How the ECG Process Works in General?

1. Electrodes are placed:

Small, sticky patches called electrodes are attached to the patient's

chest, arms, and legs. These electrodes are wired to the ECG machine.

2. Signal Acquisition:

As the heart beats, it produces electrical impulses that are picked up

by the electrodes on the skin.

3. Amplification:

The electrical signals from the heart are very faint, so the ECG machine
amplifies them to make them stronger and clearer.

4. Signal Conversion & Display:

The amplified electrical signals are then converted into a visual

representation, a graph known as an electrocardiogram. This graph is
shown on a monitor or printed on paper.

5. Interpretation:

A healthcare professional analyzes the ECG graph to look for patterns

and anomalies. They can determine the heart rate, check for irregular
rhythms, and detect changes that may indicate various heart
conditions.

Already existing portable ECG Devices

1. This is the KardiaMobile,
which is an already existing
ATM card sized ECG monitor.
We can get it in Amazon for
around 10000 Rs.

2. The other one is Apple watch, which just around
the same as the Kardiamobile, has an accuracy of
around 80%.

3. There are few other alternatives which offer portable ecg facilities with
around the same amount of accuracy.

What is common in these already-existing

portable ECG wearables?
1. Single or Limited Lead Designs:

Most consumer and portable ECGs—like KardiaMobile or smartwatches

—use only one or a few leads (e.g., 3 to 6), unlike clinical 12-lead ECGs.
This makes them compact and easier to use.

2. Built-in Storage & Display (Select Models):

Some devices offer onboard storage and a small display for immediate
reading—like Checkme or Facelake ECG monitors.

3. Smartphone or App Connectivity:

Many portable ECGs pair with mobile apps via Bluetooth or other
wireless means, enabling real-time monitoring, data storage, and easy
sharing.

4. Cloud-Based or Algorithmic Analysis:

Devices often offer automated preliminary interpretation or cloud-

based evaluation through AI, helping users understand results and
potentially alerting professionals when needed.

What is unique in our design?

1. We are making a wearable that has 12 electrodes just like a
commercial clinical ECG device.
2. We don’t offer a built-in display, rather connect to the mobile app for
better cost efficiency.
3. We are training an AI model specifically to read an ECG report and
provide valid and accurate diagnosis report with tons and tons of data
so that the customer never faces any sort of error in the result.
4. With all these advantages, we have also made it affordable and easy to
carry.
