GIC AM IT 2024- Study Plan
Selection Procedure:
The selection shall be on the basis of shortlisting of the candidates based on Online Test,
performance in Group Discussion & interview and medical examination. The total marks
for Online Test, Group Discussion and Interview will be 200.

• Negative Marking: Present. There is 1/4th Negative Marking present for each wrong
answer, in the objective test.
• Sectional Cutoff: Not Present. There is no separate cutoff specified for Part A, B and C.
Even in Part B, there is no sectional cutoff in various subjects.
• Candidates will be shortlisted for Group Discussion and interview on the basis of overall
marks scored in objective and descriptive section taken together against full marks of 150.
• The maximum marks for Group Discussion and Interview are 20 and 30, respectively. The
result of final selection will be made based on overall performance in online examination,
Group Discussion and Interview.

Previous Year Cutoffs (IT Stream):
• The exam pattern in 2023 was different. Part A had questions from High Level
Reasoning and not the technical questions.
• The recruitment of 2024 has the same exam pattern has that of 2021 and is majorly
similar to 2019 recruitment. Hence, the 2019 cutoff can be taken as reference.
