The Scum Villain's Self-Saving System 「 人渣反派自救系 统」 is a
'Mò Xiāng Tóng Xiù
Chinese danmei by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu ( 墨香 铜臭). It started as a web
novel originally published on the Chinese web novel site JJWXC from September 21,
2014 - November 30, 2014. The revised version was completed on September 9,
2015. Before being picked up by a Taiwanese publisher Pinsin Studio (平心出版社) and
released as a physical novel in Traditional Chinese in July 25, 2017. It has since
been translated into English, Thai, Vietnamese, Burmese, Korean and Russian.
Summary
Half-demon Luo Binghe rose from humble beginnings and a tortured past to become
unrivaled in strength and beauty. With his dominion over both the Human and
Demonic realms and his hundreds-strong harem, he is truly the most powerful
protagonist...in a trashy webnovel series!
At least, that's what Shen Yuan believes as he finishes reading the final chapter
in Proud Immortal Demon Way. But when a bout of rage leads to his death, Shen
Yuan is reborn into the world of the novel in the body of Shen Qingqiu—the beautiful
but cruel teacher to a young Luo Binghe. While Shen Qingqiu may have the
incredible power of a cultivator, he is destined to be horrifically punished for crimes
against the protagonist.
The new Shen Qingqiu has only one course of action: get into Luo Binghe’s good
graces before the young man’s rise to power or suffer the awful fate of a true scum
villain!

The web novel was originally serialized on JJWXC in TBA, before the chapters were
locked in January 2019. The official Traditional Chinese paperback was published by
Pinsin Studio, who released the first edition in 2017, and then a revamped 5th

anniversary edition in 2022. The series was picked up for an official English

translation by Seven Seas Entertainment in 2021. There is no official paperback
version of the novel in Simplified Chinese. In Early October 2024, MXTX revised

and unlocked all three of her novels on JJWXC. Allegedly, Scum Villain's Self-Saving
System was minorly changed to fit censorship rules so that it could be unlocked,
however the wiki has not verified this nor checked to which extent the web novel has
been revised yet.

The official Chinese paperback version was released in Taiwan on 25 July 2017
by Pinsin Studio (平心出版, Twitter) with a total of 3 volumes and art by Mao Tuan Xiao
Jian Jian, who also drew the manhua adaptation for Grandmaster of Demonic
Cultivation. It appears like there's no official paperback version of the novel in

In 2022, Pinsin Studio also released a revamped 5th anniversary edition was
released in 2022 with art by Wu Suo (烏索). This revamped edition also had a deluxe

version which included merchandise such as a PVC card, postcards, an acrylic plate
and a folder. The Taiwanese novel does not seem to have art beyond the cover,
though this is yet to be confirmed. The second volume of the revamped edition also

included a written message from MXTX to the fans: "Thank you for your continuous

support for my work. I wish you all health and safety!" The revamped edition was

also featured in Pinsin's store at the 2022 Manhua Expo in Taiwan. The artist Wu
