Visitor Register – Visitors must sign in and out at Security when entering or leaving the site.
Parking – If on-site parking is not available you may be asked to use alternative parking.
Disability access is available if required, please ask the Security Guard. Please park centrally within the lines utilising only
one parking space.
Disability parking is strictly reserved for those who need it, please do NOT park in these spaces.
You are asked to make use of the pedestrian walkways / crossings when going to and from your vehicle.
Do not park in front of Fire Exit Doors or Roller / Speed Doors – Your vehicle could be damaged
Do not obstruct pedestrian crossings, emergency exits, fire hydrants or other vehicles.
Reverse parking is advised for light goods vehicles, cars and vans. Large vehicles should avoid reversing unless directed
by a banks-person. Trained personnel are available, please ask the security guard for assistance.
Large HGV vehicles are asked to use the Marshalling Lanes / Waiting Areas as directed by the guard. You will be
called forward for loading / unloading in a designated area.
Mobile phones must NOT be used while driving or walking. Stop in a safe location to make or take your call.
You have a legal duty to look after your own safety and that of others. Please adhere to the information displayed on
safety signs and notices posted throughout the site.
PPE is readily available from Security, Reception, PPE Stores or from your host (the person you are visiting).
The following items of PPE are mandatory for visitors & hauliers if entering any production workshops. Bump hat, high
visibility clothing, safety glasses & safety footwear. Hearing protection is required in all workshops due to the high
noise levels.
High- visibility clothing and safety footwear must be worn in yard loading and unloading areas.
Stay with your host at all times. Do not wander off, do not enter restricted areas i.e. yards, paint shops,
shot blaster including paint / gas storage areas unless accompanied and authorised.
On-Site Hazards include, high noise levels, rigging operations, over-head work, heavy plant, material movements,
including vehicles, machinery, forklift trucks and loading & unloading operations.
Please give way to rigging operations, material movements, vehicles loading & unloading and mobile plant.
Hot work including welding, flame cutting and grinding. Shot blasting, spray painting & hazardous substances.
Do not look directly at the intense light emitted by welding / cutting processes. It could cause an eye injury.
You must keep within the pedestrian floor marking and use the pedestrian doors for access and egress, do not walk
through roller shutter doors that are used by vehicles.

Be aware of changes in ground level, trailing cables, hoses or liquid spills that could cause a slip, trip or fall.
Mobile phones must NOT be used in potentially flammable or explosive atmospheres i.e. paint shops, including paint / gas
storage areas. There should no uncontrolled work at height above 1.8metres.
Hauliers / Visitors are NOT permitted to operate forklift trucks or machine shop equipment.
Smoking is not permitted within the site unless you are in a designated smoking area this includes buildings,company
vehicles, forklift trucks and any hire vehicles. All smoking materials must be disposed of safely in the bins provided.
E-Cigarettes are only permitted to be used in designated smoking areas. A designated E-Cigarette smoking
area is available so those wishing to use electronic smoking devices are not exposed to tobacco smoke.
First Aid is available by contacting reception or security. If help is needed in the event of an emergency,
please activate the nearest fire alarm call point.
Accident Reporting - We are legally required to report accidents, so please report all accidents, injuries,
near miss incidents or dangerous occurrences to your host or a member of staff. This includes any
environmental incidents such as liquid spills or property damage etc.
If the fire alarm sounds, stop what you are doing and prepare to evacuate. All visitors must report directly to the
Security, your muster point is at the front gate unless told otherwise.
