10.00 – 10.15 Admin Information & Outputs Expected: Victor (15 mts)
Team & Reporting formalities: Daily Reporting & Overall Training Report- 15 mts
Three member teams of 4 teams (district team members) do a coverage of
three days each / specific tasks; each day’s report is submitted before
breakfast the next day to the State team
State team reviews the report and submits it to XT by evening of the following
day.
The report contains: (a) Session / Day Plans; (b) Key Learning for Session / Day; (c)
Objectives for Session / Day; (d) Process: Detailed Process Report (where possible
with timings noted) with tips for facilitators included
10.30 – 11.30 Early Recovery : Experiences
PN, SSS & Uttarakhand : Road to Recovery – 20 mts
Praveen Interactive Discussion on Ukhand, J&K & TN
Praveen Pawar : Initial challenges and moving out of chaotic situations in early
response and recovery stage for setting up systems for recovery.
Sanjay Pandey : Positioning of UN in the J&K flood recovery, considering
special status of the state.
Sugata Roy : Initial implantation of UNDMT supported coordinators within the
UN Office (UNICEF) for supporting recovery program
Key point: “What do we bring in?” as Recovery Coordinators
11.30 – 12.40 Our Role and Position:

Position yourself within an government office
Participate in other coordination meetings (even if those are not called by the
government)
Orient government officials formally and informally on international standards
Occasionally interact with affected community to get the pulse of what is
going on
Follow the accepted Code of Conduct for humanitarian workers
Feel free to give inputs based on authenticated government data on needs
and gaps
