“Wired to Shine”

I walked into class on the very first day,

Thinking, “How hard can this be, anyway?”
They said, “It’s just wires, a plug here or there—
Fix a switch, twist a cord, tighten bolts with care.”

But I soon found out, quite fast and well,

That one wrong move can give you… quite a spell.
I’ve been zapped, I’ve been shocked, even sparked my shoe,
And once made a socket smoke—yes, it’s true!

We learned ohms and amps and volts galore,

How to keep the juice in, and avoid the floor.
We memorized codes and labels and charts,
Even learned not to leave pliers in carts!

Now some of us fumbled and some of us fried,

But somehow we all made it—alive and dignified.
We burned out some bulbs, but lit up the room,
With ideas and laughter and dreams full of boom.

There were days when the current just didn’t flow,

When the wires got tangled and patience ran low.
But we powered through, sometimes with sparks,
Fixing every problem, leaving our marks.

I’ll never forget my friend shouting “It's live!”

Then tossing the wire like bees from a hive.
Or the time I tripped the lab’s main breaker—
An accident, yes… but I felt like a maker!

Through circuits and systems, we all took our place,

Each one of us found our own voltage and pace.
We’ve twisted and tested, we’ve drilled and wired,
Fused by knowledge—and only slightly tired.

So hats off to teachers who stood by our side,

Who taught us to ground things—and not just our pride.
You saw our sparks before they caught flame,
And somehow you still learned our names!

To our families and friends who helped us believe,

Thank you for not yelling each time we blew a fuse, or a sleeve.
Your love and support made each shock worthwhile—
Even when we came home smelling like wire.

And now here we are, on graduation day,

Charged up and ready to work—or so we say.
Armed with pliers and plans and maybe some tape,
Prepared for whatever this world will shape.

We may not wear capes, but we sure bring the light,

Fixing darkness with tools, precision, and might.
Electricians aren’t flashy (okay, sometimes we are),
But we’re the reason you can charge your car!

So here’s to the future, whatever it brings—

May our panels be perfect and tight as our rings.
We’re wired for greatness, built to install,
And ready to answer your next power call.

So thank you all—now give us a hand,

The current is strong and our dreams are well-planned.

From circuits to sockets, we’ll make things divine—
Because we’re the grads who are wired to shine.
