What are the favorite holidays that people celebrate in your country?
The favorite festivals celebrated in my country are Carnival, La Mama Negra and Flower
and Fruit Festivals.Carnival is a celebration that includes music, dancing, parades,
costumes, food, drinks, and fun it is celebrated in Ecuador between February and
March. La Mama Negra is a traditional festival in the city of Latacunga, which pays
tribute to the Virgin of Mercedes. The Flower and Fruit Festival in Ambato, features
parades, exhibitions, festivals, masses, fairs, and gastronomy.

What special holiday do you celebrate in your home and what customs
or clothing do you have for each holiday?
In my house it is celebrated on January 6th. In the canton of Tisaleo, great celebrations
are held in honor of the baby Jesus. There is a mass, a parade because they call him the
priest of the festivities, and then they hold a wake for him.

Carnaval de Río de Janeiro El Carnaval de Río de Janeiro es famoso en todo el mundo.
Este enorme y exuberante espectáculo comienza cada año 40 días antes de Pascua, y
las celebraciones duran 5 días. Millones de brasileños y de turistas de todo el mundo
que viajan allí vienen a vivir este espectáculo. Durante el Carnaval, las calles se llenan
de música, bailes y coloridos desfiles.
