During my rewarding legal fellowship with the Centre for Civil Society, I had
the privilege of extending vital legal aid to street vendors, advocating for their
rights, and empowering them through various initiatives.
One of the cornerstones of my fellowship involved organizing and conducting
legal aid camps. These camps became a platform for street vendors to seek
guidance and assistance on a myriad of legal issues they faced in their daily
lives.Through these events, we were able to bridge the gap between the legal
system and the marginalized street vendor community, ensuring they had
access to justice.
In these legal aid camps, I collaborated with a team of passionate individuals
to provide personalized assistance to vendors, addressing their concerns and
offering legal solutions. As a legal fellow, I also actively engaged in raising
awareness about the legal rights and protections available to street vendors.
Through workshops and informational sessions, we aimed to empower
vendors with the knowledge of their rights, fostering a sense of agency and
confidence within the community.
I am grateful for the opportunities provided by the Centre for Civil Society
and am more determined than ever to continue my pursuit of a legal career
dedicated to uplifting and empowering those in need.

I have completed this one month internship under the center for civil society
which is a public policy think tank.
In this internship I have worked on the Jeevika Mobile App as part of the street
vendors Project. During the internship, I was actively engaged in conducting
legal research and consultation with street vendors in cases of harrasment
complaints, I have also visited the markets, met with vendors, performed legal
aid camps, and performed the awareness session for the street vendors.
it was a great learning for me to work with CCS team. they gave me the real
environment and the very real view about the street vendors.
