When looking for a way to manage his business efficiently, Mr Kacy, the most respected businessman of
your neighbourhood was advised to computerize his activities by putting in place an information system. He
bought a number of devices including computer systems, a laser printer, a switch, and some software. The
system to be designed will help Mr Kacy to collect information on the daily changes on the prices of goods in
the market. At the end of every week, a simulation on the data collected by the system help My Kacy to
identify and buy the goods that will generate more profits in the next days.

1. a- Give the definition of : computer system, software. 2mks

b- Name the main parts of a computer system. 1mk

c- State two types of computer systems (based on their size). 1mk

2. The basic process an information system follows include input, processing, storage and output.
