MINUTE OF THE 2022 ANNUAL DISTRICT SESSION HELD ON
SATURDAY, 17TH DECEMBER 2022 AT PCG, EMMANUEL
CONGREGATION – AKOASE

OPENING:
Rev. Bismark A. Boadi led the session on opening prayer by singing PH
1:1-4 at exactly 9:30am. Afterwards, he exhorted members from Luke
17:11-19 and Luke 5:4
Rev. Boadi encouraged the session to show gratitude at all times since our
inactions can make us guilty. He emphasized that we thank God not
enough and so we do not see God’s glory. He recounted of David’s
thanksgiving in Psalm 100 for how far the lord has brought us and how
seriously we should appreciate God Almighty. He stated that in 2023, the
session should extend the fishing net to the deep in order to get more
fish.
He suggested that we should intensify our programs, rebrand ourselves
(from adult to children) – from the District to Local.
Rev. Boadi asked the Akoase District to charge our old ways that do not
yield positive results. He ended his message by admonishing the house to
put all hands-on deck in moving the district forward. He sang Ph 529:1-2
finally and prayed.
The session recited the Apostle’s creed.

PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH OF GHANA
AKOASE DISTRICT
DISTRICT MINISTER`S ADDRESS TO DISTRICT SESSION
16TH DECEMBER, 2023

PREAMBLE: But you, my friend already knows this, be on your guard

then, so that you will not be led away by the errors of the lawless people
and fall from your safe position. (2 Peter 3:7)

SALUTATION/PROTOCOLS
My respected and dedicated clergy, Honourable Lay to the Presbytery,
Catechists, Caretakers and other agents of this noble ministry, believers
of the Christian faith, the Presbyters and the believers in Christ Jesus.
Asomdwoe nka mo nyinaa!

I really thank our omnipotent Lord for allowing me to serve in His

Vineyard. I appreciate everyone for their and counselling.

THEME FOR THE YEAR 2024

The theme for the year 2024 is Jesus, the Alpha and the Omega
(Revelation 21:6)
Jesus Christ has already done it, the destruction of God`s enemies and the
salvation of the Saints are both completed. The Alpha and the Omega,
First and the Last. The Lord who stands beyond the universe is the
beginning and the end as Sovereign creator and consummator, He is
indeed the spring and the hoster of life. He is also the throne of God and
the lamp of grace.

SPIRITUALITY
Throughout my ministry, I have harbored this in my heart that, believers
need to be spiritually inclined and needs to be developed to be a citizen of
heaven and be able to possess our possession.

16
2024 POLITICAL YEAR
The year 2024 is going to be hectic as most of our politicians are gearing
up to campaigning, some to be elected as President and Parliamentary
Candidate to their various constituencies and the nation at large. We are
therefore appealing to each and every one to be mindful of their
utterances during the campaign period, support all candidate but take
your own decision during the D-day.

TWEAPEASE AS SUB-DISTRICT
The strategy adopted by the church of Pentecost on the basis of hundred
(100) members as the maximum while the next member should be used
as yardstick to plant another assembly. I therefore suggest that
Tweapease should be selected and be nurtured to become a district of its
own in the foreseen future.

INSTITUTION OF SPECIAL AWARD

In order to promote the evangelism network in the district, I propose that,
we institute an award scheme to deserving congregations, preaching
points and individuals who excel in the district. This will motivate
members of the district to contribute their God-given talents to help build
the evangelism network of the district.

INCOME GENERATING PROJECT

I have come to realize that Akoase District needs to start an income
generating project and not to rely on the 15%income being accrued
during our church services. It could be car washing bay or canopies and
chairs for hiring.

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
The handling of our finance in our various congregations and preaching
points are very alarming. I therefore suggest that all monies be
transferred to the bank through MOMO account latest by Tuesday on
weekly basis. The district treasurer should organize various workshop to
enable treasures abreast themselves with the current financial practices
of the church.

DISTRICT PRAYER CONVENTION

I do propose that the evangelism Director organize quarterly prayer
convention to enable members develop the habit of building spiritual life
in the church.

FORMATION OF BRIGADE

17
Research had shown that forming brigade in various congregation help to
evangelize people to Christ, more especially, the youth. I therefore
propose that various Pastoral stations should try as much as possible to
establish this organization in our district.

CONCLUSION
My prayer is that we all work together as a team both in our
congregations and the district at large to glorify God.
Long live PCG!
Long live Kwahu Presbytery!!
Long live Akoase District!!!
