ICT and it’s importance in.

EDUCATION

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) plays a vital role in modern education by

enhancing teaching, learning, and access to information. It allows students and teachers to use

digital tools, online resources, and interactive platforms that make learning more engaging and

effective. With ICT, education becomes more accessible, collaborative, and adaptable to the

needs of the 21st century.

Digital technologies have brought changes to the nature and scope of education and led

education systems worldwide to adopt strategies and policies for ICT integration. The latter

brought about issues regarding the quality of teaching and learning with ICTs, especially

concerning the understanding, adaptation, and design of the education systems in accordance

with current technological trends. These issues were emphasized during the recent COVID-19

pandemic that accelerated the use of digital technologies in education, generating questions

regarding digitalization in schools. Specifically, many schools demonstrated a lack of experience

and low digital capacity, which resulted in widening gaps, inequalities, and learning losses. Such

results have engendered the need for schools to learn and build upon the experience to enhance

their digital capacity and preparedness, increase their digitalization levels, and achieve a

successful digital transformation. Given that the integration of digital technologies is a complex

and continuous process that impacts different actors within the school ecosystem, there is a need

to show how these impacts are interconnected and identify the factors that can encourage an

effective and efficient change in the school environments. For this purpose, we conducted a non-

systematic literature review. The results of the literature review were organized thematically

based on the evidence presented about the impact of digital technology on education and the
factors that affect the schools’ digital capacity and digital transformation. The findings suggest

that ICT integration in schools impacts more than just students’ performance; it affects several

other school-related aspects and stakeholders, too. Furthermore, various factors affect the impact

of digital technologies on education. The study results shed light on how ICTs can positively

contribute to the digital transformation of schools and which factors should be considered for

schools to achieve effective and efficient change.

One of the fundamental components of the United Nations’ sustainable development 2030

agenda is quality education. It aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education for all.

Digital technologies have emerged as an essential tool to achieve this goal. These technologies

are simple to detect emissions sources, prevent additional damage through improved energy

efficiency and lower-carbon alternatives to fossil fuels, and even remove surplus greenhouse

gases from the environment. Digital technologies strive to decrease or eliminate pollution and

waste while increasing production and efficiency. These technologies have shown a powerful

impact on the education system. The recent COVID-19 Pandemic has further institutionalised the

applications of digital technologies in education. These digital technologies have made a

paradigm shift in the entire education system. It is not only a knowledge provider but also a co-

creator of information, a mentor, and an assessor. Technological improvements in education have

made life easier for students. Instead of using pen and paper, students nowadays use various

software and tools to create presentations and projects. When compared to a stack of notebooks,

an iPad is relatively light. When opposed to a weighty book, surfing an E-book is easier. These

methods aid in increasing interest in research. This paper is brief about the need for digital
technologies in education and discusses major applications and challenges in education. (Haleem

In the present existence, the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) have

acquired prominence not only in the field of education, but in other fields as well. The main

objective of this research paper is to acquire the understanding in terms of significance of ICT in

education. In all levels of education, ICT is made use of to enrich the system of education. When

the individuals are making use of ICT, they are able to carry out their job duties in a manageable

manner. Furthermore, its utilization have rendered a significant contribution in leading to

progression in the implementation of tasks and functions. Before, the individuals make use of

ICT, it is vital for them to possess adequate knowledge and information. One needs to be well-

equipped with ICT, before, making use of it. The main areas that have been taken into account in

this research paper include, policy of ICT in education, benefits of ICT in education, and role of

ICT in bringing about changes in learning. (May 2019Radhika Kapur, University of Delhi)

One of the many challenges facing developing countries today is that of preparing their societies

and

Governments for globalization and the information and communication revolution. Policy-

makers, educationists,

Non-governmental organizations, academics, and ordinary citizens are increasingly concerned

with the need to

Make their societies competitive in the emergent information economy. Globalization and

innovations in

Technology have led to an increased use of ICTs in all sectors – and education is no exception.

Uses of ICTs in

Education are widespread and are continually growing worldwide. It is generally believed that

ICTs can

Empower teachers and learners, making significant contributions to learning and achievement.

Of the teachers

Interviewed on the effectiveness of ICT in education majority of them felt that introduction and

use of ICT

Adequately will be extremely effective in children‟s learning and achievement. However, current

research on the

Impacts of ICTs on student achievement yields few conclusive statements, pros or con, about the

use of ICTs in

Education. Studies have shown that even in the most advanced schools in industrialized

countries, ICTs are

Generally not considered central to the teaching and learning process. However, there appears to

be a mismatch

Between methods used to measure effects and the type of learning promoted. Standardized

testing, for example,

Tends to measure the results of traditional teaching practices, rather than new knowledge and

skills related to

The use of ICTs. It is clear that more research needs to be conducted to understand the complex

links between

ICTs, learning, and achievement. Again, on the question of impact of audio visuals, research

shows that

Surprisingly little documentation is available on the use and impact of video in education,

barring one or two

Video projects like UNICEF‟s animation series, „Meena‟, which has become a key weapon in

the battle against

Gender and social inequity in South Asia.

Many teachers are reluctant to use ICTs, especially computers and the internet. Some of the

reasons for this

Reluctance include poor software design, skepticism about the effectiveness of computers in

improving learning

Outcomes, lack of administrative support, increased time and effort needed to learn the

technology and how to

Use it for teaching, and the fear of losing their authority in the classroom as it becomes more

learner-centered.

In terms of using internet and other ICT as a resource for lesson preparation, most of the teachers

interviewed,
Admitted to never or rarely using it, while very few used the internet to gather information

sporadically or

Regularly. (Meenakshi, Research scholarP.G.Department of Education, University of Jamm)

Education is the foundation for personal growth and national progress. I believe that providing

equal access to quality education empowers people to create better futures for themselves and

their communities.

ICT and it’s importance in E-GOVERMENTS

E-government refers to the use of information and communication technology (ICT) by

government agencies to deliver services, share information, and interact with citizens,

businesses, and other government branches. It aims to make governance more efficient,

transparent, and accessible, improving public service delivery and promoting citizen

participation.

Governments around the globe are in a quest for successful e-government services. In this

pursuit, one of the most significant barriers to e-government resilience is insufficient training.

The objective of this study is to examine the impact of ICT training programs on the success of

e-government services to improve digital competency along with decreasing the digital divide

concerning developing societies. The pragmatic research process served as a baseline of this

study, and a quasi-experimental research approach was implemented for testing the control
group. The results of e-government training revealed a significant increase in the trainees’ self-

efficacy regarding the use of e-government applications. This study proved that e-government

ICT training programs directed at citizens can create a positive impact in conjunction with

increasing digital literacy. Such training programs could also lessen the digital divide, enrich

citizens’ potential, and promote more equitable usage of public services in developing societies.

The development of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) makes the world more

borderless and communication in various sectors easier. ICT has penetrated individual,

organizational, and social barriers. The impact of ICT does not only occur in private companies

or organizations but also public organizations. The application of E-Government is a form of ICT

application in the public sector. E-Government is a process of using ICT as a new instrument in

providing public services more effectively and efficiently. This study aims to provide an

overview of the role of ICT in E-Government, which supports aspects of sustainable

development in the economic, social, and environmental fields. The method used to collect

research data is a literature review and data analysis techniques through a qualitative approach.

The results of the study show that E-Government is able to support sustainable development

from both economic, social, and environmental aspects. This research recommends that

government agencies must continue to innovate, especially by involving ICT and e-government

in their public services. It is important because the use of this technology can support

sustainability issues in various fields. Then, various studies across sectors are also needed so that

comparisons can be developed regarding the challenges that need to be faced in establishing

cooperation.
E-governance, or electronic governance, means using Information and Communication

Technology in government work. It makes things clear, responsible, and fast. This helps services

be fair and easy to use. Now, in our digital age, e-governance is not just for being modern but is

key for the growing the country.E-governance has become an important aspect of how

governments run and communicate over the last few years. It has changed the manner in which

governments operate and interact with their citizens, becoming easier and more efficient.

In my opinion, ICT is not just improving e-government—it’s transforming the way people

connect with their leaders. By making services faster, more transparent, and easier to access, it

brings the government closer to its citizens. As technology continues to advance, its role in

building a more open and efficient government will only become more important.

ICT and it’s importance In INDUSTRIES

ICT is important in industries because it helps work get done faster and with better quality. It

keeps teams connected, even if they’re far apart. It also helps use resources wisely, saving both

time and money.

The ICT industry is characterized by the globalization of innovation activities, modularization of

product forms, and ubiquitous intelligence of technologies. In recent years, ICT has led to the

strong development of the global digital economy. However, the global innovation model of ICT

companies has been subject to inevitable shocks and questions, which has aroused widespread
concern in practice and academia. There is an urgent need to systematically review and

summarize the ICT industry innovation to contribute to the practice and research of ICT industry

innovation. A combination of qualitative and quantitative methods, such as bibliometric analysis

and multiple correspondence analysis, is used to summarize and analyze the literature on ICT

industry innovation published in top journals at home and abroad. We systematically review the

current research status of ICT industry innovation by portraying the knowledge map and

structure, identifying research themes and development stages, and refining theoretical

foundations and research topics. Based on the five themes of technological innovation,

innovation ecology, digital transformation, business model innovation and sustainable

development, the research framework and propositions are proposed, which are of guidance and

reference value for future academic research and practice of ICT industry innovation. (Zhuo-Yue

The share of Industries producing Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) has

dramatically increased over the last decades and became the basic dynamic of new economy. The

contribution of ICT-producing industries to economic growth should not be assessed solely on

the basis of their production volume as a part National Income. As a general-purpose technology

ICT affects economic activities in other sectors and makes them more productive. ICT is also an

enabling technology of knowledge accumulation since it both accelerates and decreases the cost

of gathering, storing, generation and distribution of knowledge, which is considered to be most

important process for technological improvements in Knowledge-based Economy. From this

starting point of view, in this paper we have tried to investigate the role of the ICT industries on

economic growth in OECD countries. Using dynamic panel data analysis method, the impact of
improvements in both ICT-producing and ICT-using industries in manufacturing and services

sectors on economic growth has been empirically analysed. The empirical evidence implies that

ICT has played an important role as a basic dynamic of economic growth in OECD countries.

The presentation titled “Role of Information Communication Technology (ICT) in Sustainability

and Industrialization: A Conceptual Analysis” by Mr. Nishant Kumar Singh, and Dr.

Vishwambhar Nath Sharma, delves into the intricate relationship between industrialization,

sustainability, and the pivotal role of ICT in bridging the gap between the two. The authors,

affiliated with the Department of Geography at the Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu

University, embark on a conceptual analysis to explore the potential of ICT in fostering

sustainable development amidst the ongoing industrialization wave. The presentation starts with

an introduction that sets the context by highlighting the historical trajectory of industrialization

and its consequential environmental and social ramifications. The authors argue that while

industrialization has propelled economic growth and development, its adverse impacts on the

environment and human health raise concerns about the sustainability of such progress. The

narrative then transitions to the role of ICT in addressing these challenges, positing ICT as a

critical interface for achieving sustainable industrial development. In the first section, the paper

examines the evolution of industrialization and its implications, emphasizing the transformative

power of ICT in this domain. It suggests that ICT not only facilitates economic growth by

enhancing industrial productivity but also plays a crucial role in integrating global markets,

thereby promoting regional development. The subsequent section shifts focus to sustainable
development, stressing the necessity of balancing economic needs with environmental

preservation. The authors present a review of recent advancements in ICT that have the potential

to mitigate environmental issues stemming from industrial activities. (March 2024 ,Nishant

providing workers access to company data where and whenever they have

Information and communication technology (ICT) have become the backbone of businesses

nowadays. Can you imagine a world where emails, video conferencing, and document sharing

don’t exist? It’s hard to imagine a modern business functioning without these essential

technologies. With ICT, businesses can collect, store, and analyze data more efficiently, which in

turn helps them make informed decisions. And let’s not forget about communication technologies

that enable companies to coordinate with employees and clients worldwide. ICT has become a

vital part of modern business operations. With the increasing amount of data being generated,

businesses need ICT tools to help collect, store, and analyze this data. This has led to the

development of sophisticated software and hardware solutions that enable businesses to manage

their operations more efficiently. From inventory management to customer relationship

management, ICT has become an integral part of every aspect of a business.Without these

technologies, businesses would face major disruptions, as seen in scenarios where Google or

news channels experience downtime.

The ICT’s use in public and private sectors is an increasingly important need, especially in

education, training and professionalization. For this reason, this research consisted in an analysis

of results in ICTs’ use in business management and its contribution to improving university

processes, proposing these three categorical elements, in response to university management

under the systemic approach get contributions from the business world and be accompanied by
ICT’s to optimize their responses. It was based on several methodological procedures:

documentary research and descriptive research, using a SIPOC procedure and a cause-effect

diagram to determine the various relationships that occur in the management process under

assessment. Among the results, a characterization of the processes was obtained that are carried

out and a list of the causes that affect the weaknesses of the management on university processes.

One of the most important was the staff training element, weaknesses in leadership and lack of

strategic planning, as well as inadequacies in the applications implemented for the automation in

processes and a low sense of belonging by the staff, whose performance does not show

commitment to the organization. This article is outlined for the scientific Track in the thematic

axis of ICT Management.(Johanna Rosalí Reyes Reinoso

ICT is essential in business as it streamlines operations, improves communication, and enhances

decision-making through efficient data management. It also boosts productivity and

competitiveness by enabling faster transactions, online marketing, and global connectivity.

ICT and it’s importance in ENTERTAINMENT

ICT is important in entertainment because it lets us watch movies, listen to music, and play

games whenever we want. It brings artists and audiences closer through streaming and social

media. It also makes entertainment more fun, creative, and easy to enjoy.
ICT’s role in entertainment has evolved from traditional media formats to digital platforms. The

introduction of streaming services and mobile applications has led to real-time content access

and a shift in consumer behavior. The entertainment industry includes sectors such as film,

television, music, gaming, and live performances. Each sector has undergone significant

transformations due to ICT, enhancing creativity and reach while catering to diverse audiences.

Increased electricity consumption and environmental impacts of Information Communication

Technology (ICT) have been subjects of research since the 1990s. This paper focuses on

consumer electronics in households, in particular TVs, computers and their peripherals. ICT

accounts for almost 15% of global domestic electricity use, including waste energy from devices

left on standby which is estimated in the EU-27 to contribute 6% of residential energy demand.

In Europe, the household electricity consumption from small electronic appliances, including

ICT, increased by 2.5 times in 2011 compared to 1990. Similarly, in the UK, energy demand

from electronic devices accounted for 23% of total household electricity use in 2012, compared

to 12% in 1990. (Mary Pothitou, Richard F. Hanna & Konstantinos J. Chalvatzis, 2017)

The film Industry presents a significant opportunity for women’s empowerment through

entertainment education and entrepreneurialism in Uganda and effective communication

campaigns can raise awareness and support women to leapfrog into influential roles within this

dynamic sector. Objectives were to develop awareness communication campaigns that promote

women’s participation in the film industry, integrate 21st-century skills into entertainment
education and entrepreneurial curricula, enhance digital literacy and ICT readiness in educational

institutions, and promote community outreach partnerships and competitions to engage women

in the film industry, ensure gender equality and inclusivity in entertainment education and

entrepreneurial programs. The review covers the role of communication campaigns in promoting

women’s empowerment in the film industry, framing theory, and diffusion of innovations theory

in entertainment education, the impact of the 4th Industrial Revolution (4thIR) on entertainment

education and entrepreneurialism, and case studies of successful campaigns and initiatives, the

importance of digital literacy and ICT readiness for women in the film industry. These theories

will be applied to understand how communication campaigns can effectively frame issues and

promote the adoption of new practices in entertainment education and entrepreneurialism. The

entertainment-education entrepreneurial curricula will focus on essential 21 st-century skills,

preparing women for successful careers in the film industry. The expected results and outputs

include increased participation of women in the film industry and enhanced critical thinking and

problem-solving skills among women. Increased digital literacy and ICT readiness in educational

institutions.improved gender equality and inclusive practices in entertainment education and

entrepreneurial programs.strengthened community outreach partnerships and support networks.

Despite the potential of the film industry, women in Uganda face barriers to entry and

advancement in entertainment education and entrepreneurialism including limited access to

resources, education, and entrepreneurial support. Entertainment education and

entrepreneurialism are crucial in addressing the challenges faced by women in the film industry.

By leveraging modern technologies and innovative approaches, this project aims to create an

informed and skilled workforce capable of contributing to sustainable development. We need to

expand the program to include more institutions and communities, seek continuous funding and
support from local and international partners, regularly update the curricula to incorporate the

latest advancements in technology and entertainment education and promote collaboration

between media, educational institutions, and community organizations to enhance program

delivery. (Wilson Truman Okaka,December 2024)

For decades, higher parental socioeconomic status (SES) has been linked to less screen time

among children. However, the spread of mobile devices and digital learning tools may be

altering the relationship between parental SES and children’s technology use, as parents reassess

the potentials of children’s use of ICT (information and communication technologies) for

acquiring skills and knowledge. Drawing on Bourdieu’s theory of cultural reproduction, this

study examines how parental SES relates to ICT use in middle childhood (ages 7-10). By

applying latent class analysis to parental survey data from Switzerland (n = 2,490), four distinct

ICT use types were identified: “heavy users,” “moderate entertainment users,” “educational

explorers,” and “non-users.” Higher parental SES was associated with both limited (non-users)

and education-centered ICT use (educational explorers), while lower SES was linked to more

intensive, entertainment-oriented use (heavy users). The findings underscore how socioeconomic

disparities extend beyond children’s screen time to include qualitative differences in ICT use.

Among higher-SES families, a divide emerges between those limiting ICT use and ICT-

resourceful families leveraging technology to transmit cultural capital, reflecting traditional and

evolving class-specific attitudes towards ICT. The typological approach uncovered the

heterogeneity of parental responses to the ambiguities of ICT across the socioeconomic

spectrum. (Leo Röhlke, February 2025)

In conclusion, ICT in entertainment has transformed how people create, share, and enjoy content,

making it more accessible and interactive. It connects audiences worldwide, offering diverse

experiences and endless opportunities for creativity.

ICT and it’s importance in TRANSPORT

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) plays a big role in improving modern

transportation systems. It is used in traffic management, navigation, online booking, and real-

time updates to make travel faster and more convenient. With ICT, transportation becomes safer,

more efficient, and better connected for both people and goods.

Information and communication technologies (ICT) have considerable importance for transport

systems, as they provide access to travel information, planning tools, opportunities to share

transport modes, to work at-a-distance, compare transport mode cost, make payment, improve

safety and health, and to communicate travel patterns. Over the past decade, there has been

massive growth in the availability of transportation ICT, in particular smartphone applications.

There is considerable evidence that ICT has profoundly changed the ways in which transport

systems are perceived and used, and mobilities performed; with far-reaching implications for

transport mode choices and transport demand. Against this background, the paper seeks to

conceptualize ICT with relevance for transport systems, and to discuss the implications for the

environmental sustainability of the transport sector. Findings suggest that while some ICT
innovations foster and support sustainable transport choices, others raise new and significant

barriers to more sustainable transport futures. (Stefan Gosling, June 2017)

The role of Information technology in transportation industry has reduced functional costs, and

bettered client-seller communication and complaint addressing processes. Overall IT has helped

to ameliorate effectiveness, make delivery systems more dependable, optimize the use of

resources and bring safety to the transportation sector. The appearance of information technology

and computer software in transportation has made record conservation a cakewalk. The

advantages of transportation software are numerous- first, it reduces the consumption of paper,

and second, it makes reclamation simpler and rapid. (Nikita Singh, Nov 22, 2023)

The modern transport systems manage traffic, travel scheduling and passenger

Reservation efficiently. These use information and communication technology

(ICT) in order to increase demand for convenience, safety and speed.

Therefore, investing in ICT has essential effect on transport sector. This article

Aims to examine the effects of ICT on growth of transport value added among

The selected Middle- East countries. It applies a panel data model over the

Period 2000-2014 and uses ICT penetration ratio as proxy variable for ICT.

The findings show that labor active in transport sector; machinery and transport

Equipment and ICT penetration ratio have significant positive effects on value
Added of transport sector. Thus, improving the ICT infrastructure and training

The transport agents, besides physical investment in machinery and transport

Equipment cause higher growth in transport and related services.

As one of the most effective economic activities, transport links the

Supply to demand in different markets. In the previous economic

Researches, transport was considered as an intermediate sector to fulfill

The primary needs such as trade, tourism, employment, etc. Currently,

Due to development of the global economy, all countries try to optimize

The available capabilities and opportunities in a highly competitive

Environment. As a result, transport plays direct role in reducing

Production costs, making access to markets, and increasing

Competitiveness in the international trade. Therefore, this sector attracts

Attentions in management, planning, investment and research.

Information and communication technologies (ICTs) play a significant role in transportation

systems as they provide the connection between transportation system users, system planners,

operators, and managers. Over the last few years, with advancements in ICTs, there has been a

rapid change in travel behaviour. However, little is known about how ICTs and other emerging

digital technologies are being utilised in transportation-related communication for public,

private, and active transportation. To bridge this gap, this study aims to explore academic and

grey literature focused on the use of digital technologies in transportation-related

communication. The methodological approach employs a systematic literature review, with the

PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis) protocol, to

identify digital technologies that are found promising among scholars and practitioners for

research, testing and deployment. The study analysed 158 publications and identified some

common themes of how these digital technologies can be implemented to improve access to

transportation communication. The study finds that: (a) The main literature focus is how

information is gathered and shared with transportation users; (b) Advances in mobile applications

afford real-time route updates, easy navigation of complex routes, and personalised journey

planning; (c) Some notable knowledge gaps exist in how these technologies are implemented—

including, willingness to use and digital literacy to understand them; (d) Many digital

technologies are at the trial or development phases, which have potential to improve how

transportation information can be made readily accessible to all users.

(Yigitcanlar, Adam T. Downie, Shane Mathews c, Samar Fatima c, John MacPherson d, Krishna

N.S. Behara b

, Alexander Paz b)

In summary, ICT plays a crucial role in transport by improving efficiency, and safety. It enables

better traffic management, real-time tracking, and faster communication between systems and

users. Overall, ICT helps create a smarter, more reliable, and sustainable transportation network.
ICT and it’s importance in

ÑHEALTH

ICT is important in health because it helps doctors and patients connect more easily, even from a

distance. It keeps medical records organized and easy to find, making treatments faster and more

accurate. It also gives people quick access to reliable health information for better decision-

making.

When ICTs (Information and Communications Technologies) are combined with healthcare, they

can make a key contribution to gradually improve national health outcomes. The global outbreak

of COVID-19 in 2020 further highlighted the important role of e-Health and m-Health service

modes. This research structures a mediated effect model to explore dynamic relationships

between ICT factors, ICT impacts, and national health outcomes, among which ICT factors are

independent variables; ICT impacts are mediating variables, and national health outcome

indicators selected from United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and World

Development Indicators are dependent variables. The fixed effect model is used to process a set

of 141 countries’ panel data from 2012 to 2016 from World Bank and World Economic Forum,

while the classical three-step test method and Sobel test combined with fixed effects are used to

test the mediated effects of the panel data. The results show that there are significant associations

between ICT factors and national health outcome indicators, while only some of the partial

mediated effects are proved. ICT environment and ICT usage can influence both the under-five

mortality rate and adolescent fertility rate via ICT social impact. However, the mediated effect of

ICT social impact on maternal mortality ratio and life expectancy at birth has not been
confirmed. Meanwhile, the mediated effect of ICT economic impact has not been proven. This

research is an interdisciplinary research in the field of information and communication

technology and public health and reveals the path and mechanism whereby ICT factors improve

national health outcomes, which can help global policymakers drive the next phase of the

implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and continue to improve the

overall health at the national level. (Aug 2022, Mingxing Shao , Jing Fan , Zishan Huang

Mingyang Chen ).

In the era of digital revolution, where we’re making our lives easier, we also have the

advancement and innovations of technology. These technologies are almost successful in

overcoming geographical distance, better quality service at low cost. When we think about

Healthcare Sector, accessibility is the major term in rural and some urban areas also. So the ICT

plays a critical role in improving healthcare for individuals and communities. The doctors,

patients, hospitals, and laboratories connect with the help of ICT. It also improves the Healthcare

Research Analysis. With the use of Artificial Intelligence, it can reduce medical errors. ICT also

plays a critical role in Healthcare Education, not only for the students but also the doctors, nurses

and other healthcare professionals can take its maximum utilization. Telemedicine plays a vital

role in this covid-19 pandemic. It gives the benefit of accessing medical patients in remote

locations quickly and more conveniently. It gives accessibility and availability to the public from

the comfort of being at home. In telemedicine, we can use the video conferencing service by

which the patient can talk to a doctor who may be thousand miles away from him. So, this is the

healthcare innovation which improves Remote Patients Monitoring,(August 2023, Monalisha

Pal, Noida International University).

As we simplify our lives in the age of the

digital revolution, technology is also advancing and innovating. The geographical distance

can practically be overcome by these technologies, which also provide

better services at lower costs. Accessibility is a key concept in the healthcare sector, both in

rural and some metropolitan regions. In order to improve healthcare for people and communities,

ICT is essential. With the use of ICT, doctors, patients, hospitals, and laboratories may

connect. Additionally, it enhances healthcare research analysis. Artificial intelligence can

help to cut down on medical blunders. ICT is essential in the field of healthcare as

well. Education can be used to the fullest extent not only by students but also by doctors,

nurses, and other healthcare professionals. In this COVID-19 outbreak, telemedicine is

crucial. It has the advantage of making it easier and quicker to reach medical patients who are

in rural areas. The public can access it and use

it from the convenience of their own homes. We can

employ video conferencing in telemedicine so that a patient can speak with a doctor who

may be thousands of miles distant. This medical invention therefore enhances remote patient

monitoring( Monalisha Pal, 2023)

In today’s society, information and communication technologies (ICT) play an important part in

almost every area [1, 2]. ICTs have the potential to promote patient-centered healthcare at a

reduced cost, increase quality care and information sharing, educate health professionals and

patients, stimulate a different sort of interaction with patients and health providers, and minimize

travel time [3, 4]. The healthcare system is growing increasingly dependent upon technology, so,
health science students are expected to improve their skills of ICT [5, 6]. Also, ICT enables the

use of novel educational materials and the renewal of learning methods, allowing students to

collaborate more actively and simultaneously acquire technological expertise [7]. In spite of the

fact that there’s no single, widespread definition of ICT, the term is for the most part

acknowledged to cruel all devices, organizing components, applications and frameworks that

combined permit individuals and organizations associated within the computerized world.

(Samuel Hailegebreal,2022)

In conclusion, ICT in health is essential for improving patient care, streamlining medical

processes, and enhancing access to information and services. Its use leads to faster diagnoses,

better treatment, and a more efficient healthcare system.
