1.Describe Dr. Dolittle?
Dr. Dolittle lived in a small town in a small house with a large garden.
He kept many animals in his garden. He didn't have many patients.
2.Why didn’t Dr. Dolittle have many patients?
He didn't have many patients because most people didn't like all his animal. They went to
another doctor.
3.Why was Dr. Dolittle the best vet of all?
He knew more about animals than most vets and he wrote a wonderful book about cats.
4.Who told all his friends about Dr. Dolittle? Why?
A horse told all his friends about Dr. Dolittle because he made glasses for the horse. He
could see very well.
5-What were his favourite animals?
His favourite animals were Dab-Dab, a duck; Jip, a dog; Gub-Gub, a baby pig; Polynesia, a
parrot; and Too-Too, an owl.
6- "I like animals better than people". Comment.
Doctor Dolittle said these words to his sister when she told him that they were very poor.
7-Why didn't the doctor have many patiens?
Because most of the people didn't like his animals.

Some animals came to see him because they were sick. They didn't want to leave and
stayed for a week. So he got more and more pets.

They were afraid of the crocodile which stayed with him. They thought he would bite them.

It had a toothache.

The doctor was poor again because he had no patients. They were afraid to come
because of the crocodile.

Dr. Dolittle said these words to his sister. She told him to send the animals away or she
would leave him and get married.

It told the doctor that all the monkeys in Africa are very sick and they wanted him to go to
Africa and cure them of their disease.

A sailor lent Dr. Dolittle his boat because he cured his baby the year before.

The sailor said these words to Dr. Dolittle when he asked him to give him the boat for a

They didn't enjoy the journey because it took six weeks and the weather was too hot.

Dr. Dolittle tied a long rope to the boat and the other end to a tree on the shore.

the boat because water was coming into the ship.

He was unhappy because long time ago a man killed all the elephants and took all their
ivory tusks away.

She told the king that she was Dr. Dolittle and that she can cure people. She asked him to
let the soldiers open the prison.

She found that the king has been tricked by a talking parrot.
26- Why did Dr. Dolittle and his animals hide?
They hid the in the jungle until the soldiers were tired and went back to the palace.
27-How did they pass their time on their journey to the land of Monkeys?
Chee Chee, the monkey told them stories about his monkey friends and family.

Dr. Dolittle and his animals must make a bridge to the other side of the river to reach the
Land of the Monkeys.

. He was angry with the doctor because he asked him to no nurse the monkeys

She was angry with him because he refused to help the monkeys.

been freed.

17.In the end Dr. Dolittle was pleased because he was the first person make a bridge
and go to the other side.
