1. Deacon are willing to accept this charge and to give yourself to the work of the Lord by grace of God and
the aid of His Holy Spirit as a faithful of the word in His church?
2. Do you promise to give heed to all the teachings of the word of God, to accept them as the rules and
guide of your life, and to preach them together with the beliefs and understandings of the Christian
church?
3. Are you willing to fulfill your DEACON work and responsibilities in accordance with the
instructions and teachings of the Gospel, the directions of the Diocesan Council and the counsel of
the church and in all things to show yourself an approved workman in the household of the Lord?

• I WILL engage therefore, by the aid of the Holy Spirit to walk together in Christian love (John

• I WILL strive for the advancement of this church, in knowledge, holiness and comfort (2 Timothy
2:15, Eph. 4:3).
• I WILL promote its prosperity and spirituality (Phil. 1:27, II Cor. 7:1).
• I WILL sustain its worship, ordinance, discipline and doctrines (Heb. 10:25, Matt. 28:19, I Cor.
11:23–26).
