General precautions to take while travelling


- Get a JR rail pass (more details below)
- Wear a mask ( not mandatory but ppl will stare at you if you
don’t)
- Use google translate (could be inaccurate at some times)
- Learn some basic phrases first
- Buy a data heavy sim (useful while travelling w gps)
- Wear shoes that easily slip off ( useful when visiting shrines etc)
- BRING CASH DON’T RELY ON CARD
- Etiquette (more info below)u
- Use google maps for transport

Basic etiquette
Don’t need to be super strict cus ur a foreigner but still good to
do

- Always receive and give stuff with two hands


- Don't pass food directly from your chopsticks to
someone else's. Don't stick your chopsticks upright in
your rice. When you're not using your chopsticks, rest
them on the provided holder or on the side of your
plate.
- Never talk even close to loudly on public transport
(pls)
- Make sure to wear the traditional clothing properly, so
choose a good kimono rental shop

JR rail pass
- Costs 1.5k for 3 of us
- Needs to be purchased online first, and later present the
thing to claim the card
- Need to show passport when buying
Day 1

- Get SIM cards for everyone
- Get a suitca IC card (basically like mrt card)
- Check out the family mart at the airport and grab a snack
- Make your way to the hotel
- Rest up till dinner time
- For dinner don’t do anything fancy, get something from
the convenience store or eat in hotel

Day 2
- Step out of the hotel and walk around the place
- Visit Shibuya crossing and hachiko statue
- Tokyo imperial palace
- Lunch at ichiran
- Go to senso ji temple and explore Asakusa district
- Try mcdonalds Japan for dinner
Day 3
mount fuji day trip
- Travel to lake kawaguchiko
- Explore the lakeshore
- Go to sengen park for the chuerito pagoda (take taxi)
- Go to a town called fujiyoshida for lunch
- Go to Fujiyama museum
- return to tokyo
- Dinner at hotel?
