Dear Sir / Madam

Appeal for a bursary from your company.

I address this letter to you appealing for a bursary from your company. Here within is
motivation as to why I deserve a bursary from you.

I Khethiwe Londiwe Mthembu a 19 year old female who is looking forward to the future
would appreciate a bursary from your company. I matriculated in the year 2005 with an
exemption from Grove – End Secondary School.

I have always wanted to study law but as I grew older I took an interest in Maritime Law
unfortunately due to financial difficulties I was unable to further my studies, I have
completed my Learner ship with M.S.C which I obtained in mid 2006. I am slowly
learning about the shipping industry, but would love to do it in great depth.

I do understand that in South Africa there are a few individuals that have studied
Maritime law which is what drives me even further as I see myself as the ext young,
black female to graduate with a degree in the above mentioned field.

My willingness to succeed and accomplish my dream drives me to do my best within my

abilities. I am young, passionate, self-motivated and ambitious, I am not afraid of hard
work. I am disciplined, punctual, well - groomed, responsible, confident, reliable and I
believe in team work.

I do believe that intelligence and character is the goal of true education.

I hope my appeal reaches you favorable consideration.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Thanks and kind regards.

Khethiwe Londiwe Mthembu.
