I often think of the last day that Maggie and I spent


together. It was the brightest rainy day I had ever seen

John often watched Maggie from a distance. There had

nervous. She wished he would let it go and leave her
alone. It was over. That was it. They were finished. She
was finished, that is. John wasn't "finished" with the
