The group along with its subsidiaries and affiliates invests and operates various businesses in different sectors. The sector portfolio of SDB includes Plantation, Motors, Property, Industrial, Energy & Utilities, Health care sectors. In addition, SDB also involves in other growing businesses such as, Consumer Products Retailing, Bedding, Manufacturing, Insurance Broking, and Agency. Sime Darby Berhad has operations in more than 20 countries around the globe, but its principal operations are mostly concerned to South East Asia. Group Structure of Sime Darby Sime Darby Plantation Sime Darby Plantation is the plantation and agri-business arm of the Sime Darby Group, representing one of the five core Divisions of the Group. The Division is involved in oil palm cultivation and downstream activities, agribusiness and food, as well as Research & Development (R&D). The merger of Sime Darby Berhad, Golden Hope Plantations Berhad and Kumpulan Guthrie Berhad (completed on 27 November 2007) establishes Sime Darby Plantation as one of the worlds largest palm oil producer, producing about 2.4 million tonnes or 6% of the worlds crude palm oil (CPO) output annually. The Division spans across the Peninsular, Sabah and Sarawak in Malaysia, Kalimantan, Sumatera and Sulawesi in Indonesia with landbank totaling 873,222 hectares, of which 522,124 hectares have been planted with oil palm. The operations involve the management of 202 estates and 64 mills in both countries.

The Healthcare group was formed on 21 October 2008 when the first 3 entities above were rebranded under the Sime Darby brand name. All 5 entities are wholly owned by Sime Darby, which is one of Malaysias oldest and largest diversified multinational companies, with a global presence in more than 20 countries. Since 1910, the Sime Darby Group has grown to become a key player in the Malaysian economy and its core divisions comprise plantation, property, industrial, motors and energy & utilities, with healthcare as a growing business. Its employees of nearly 100,000 people are committed to the single goal of developing sustainable futures for all of its stakeholders. iii. Sime Darby Motors Sime Darby Motors is one of the major players in the Asia Pacific region with presence in Malaysia, Australia, China, Hong Kong, Macau, New Zealand, Singapore and Thailand. We are actively involved in the various parts of the value chain such as importation, assembly, distribution and retail. The Motors Division has relationships with many vehicle manufacturers around the world. Together with their partners, they strive to address the current challenges faced by the automotive industry and endeavour to support and promote sustainability in the industry. Sime Darby Motors imports and distributes BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce, Ford, Land Rover, Peugeot, Hyundai, Porsche, Alfa Romeo, SsangYong, Suzuki, Mitsubishi, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and McLaren passenger vehicles in certain markets in the Asia Pacific region. In commercial vehicles sector, they import and distribute Mack, Hino, Renault, Nissan UD Trucks, Smith Electric Vehicles and Hyundai brands. Together with their brand partners, they strive to provide the best level of service to their customers.

Sime Darby Energy & Utility Sime Darby Energy & Utility is a part of the larger Malaysian-based multinational
with their core businesses are in engineering services, ports & logistics, power and water management. SDE is the expert in managing float-over installations. They are one of the few service providers with the resources to execute the float-over operation for EPCIC clients. They have successfully managed and executed this installation method since 2004 for Talisman Malaysia, Maersk Oil Qatar and ONGC India. v. Sime Darby Industrial Sime Darby Industrial Division is worlds fifth largest Caterpillar dealer, with Caterpillar dealerships across more than 100 branches in 10 countries throughout the Asia Pacific region. As a business entity, Sime Darby Industrial is capable of offering a comprehensive variety of equipment and services, from sales of new machines, engines or used equipment to rental and providing the full range of product support and financing services. vi. Sime Darby Property The Sime Darby Property Division is a leader in building sustainable communities with a global presence. It is an integrated property player involved in property development, asset management, hospitality and leisure. Currently, the Property Division has a significant presence in the Asia-Pacific region with projects in Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, Vietnam and China.The Property Division is created through the integration of the property arms of the former Golden Hope Plantations Berhad, Kumpulan Guthrie
Berhad and Sime Darby Berhad. Together, the Property Division is currently involved in the development of some of the well-known townships/projects in the country.
