Report & Justification

This is a sanctioned work under umbrella works of 2024-25 & 2025-26 against Plan Head:
5100(CAP).

The steel OH tank at BG colony was constructed prior to 1965. The Codal life of the tank has
already been over. Due to heavy deterioration of the components and leakage occurs in several
locations now it is beyond economical repairs. Filtered water from NGC Hilltop Filter House is
accumulated in BG & MG Storage tanks of capacity 20000 & 30000 Gals each respectively. However,
the BG Steel Overhead Tank is leaky and damaged resulting in huge loss of water making the water
supply irregular. This Overhead tank currently supplies to around 800 quarters of BG colony and is
currently running at 75 % capacity due to leakages. Hence this proposal has been prepared for
construction of a 50000 Gals Intze tank based on Based on PCE Plan No T/07/2010 by replacing the
damaged BG Steel Tank.

Accordingly, a detailed estimate has been prepared amounting Rs. 1,81,38,000/- under Plan
Head -5100(CAP).
