The Set Up: Cups: 10 Beer in each cup: 1/3 full Balls: As many as we can find Formations, Cups:
NB, the end cups must be flush with the edge of the table. 10 6 4 3
Taking The Shot:
On the full shot: An on the full shot is where the ball goes into the cup without touching any other object, except the cups OR is rebounded off an object from BEHIND the cups, ie the defending players chest. This shot awards ONE cup. Bounce Shot: A Bounce Shot is where the ball is bounced into the cups. To be classed as a bounce shot, as apposed from an on the full shot, the ball MUST bounce on the TABLE INFROUNT of the cup it lands in AT LEAST ONCE. This means if a ball somehow bounces BEHIND the cup and goes in, this will be classed as a lucky on the full shot. A successful bounce shot awards 2 drinks, the one the ball landed in and another at the shooters decision. Defending The Shot: Rim Balls: Occasionally, the ball will quickly circle around the rim or inside of the glass before it hits the bottom instead of just going right in. When a ball is doing this, the shot isnt made yet. The defenders have an opportunity to knock the ball out of the glass before it hits the liquid Deflections: Once the ball comes in contact with anything but the bottom of the cup, it is live, meaning it can be defended. Deflecting a toss that HAS NOT made contact with anything (on the full) will result in the shooter taking a re-shot along with a free EXTRA shot Pulling the Cups: Once your opponent makes a shot into one of your cups, it is in your best interest to pull that cup immediately, because if the other member of that team makes a shot into the same cup, the game is over and you end and the defending team must finish ALL the beer on the table, this includes the opposing teams remaining cups. There is no penalty if you incidentally interfere with the second shot from the opposing team because you are trying to pull the cup out of the way; just be honourable about it.
Misc Rules: Make it Take it: If each player of a team each gets a successful shot, the opposing team must skip their next turn. Rebuttal: The rebuttal rule only applies at the end of the game. When one team has all of their cups eliminated, they havent lost yet. Each player on the team which has had their cups eliminated gets to shoot until they miss. If and when they both miss and there are still cups remaining on their opponents side, they lose and proceed to drink whats left of their opponents alcohol, if they manage to take out the opposing teams cups, the game goes into overtime. Make it Take it trumps Rebuttal, as to say if you two cups remaining and each player of the opposing team gets one each in a turn, you lose, no rebuttal. Overtime: If, on rebuttal, a team is able to eliminate all of their opponents cups, regulation ends in a tie. But there wont be any ties in beer pong, as drunken shit talking must be facilitated. Each team fills up three more cups, and racks them as three should be racked, according to the diagram in the re-rack section. Then, resume play under the same rules. If, by some improbable twist of fate, overtime ends in a tie, continue playing overtimes until a winner is decided or you can no longer maintain balance ( Spills: If TEAM1 knocks over one of its own cups, that dipshit's team (TEAM1) loses that cup(s). However, if the other team (TEAM2) also contains dipshits not paying attention that do not catch the first team of dipshits (TEAM1) knocking over their cup, then TEAM1 may keep that cup. If a spectator points out the spill, then he/she is a bastard/bitch and has to drink the next cup. Balling your own cup: If the shooter BEFORE the throw somehow manages to ball his own cup, no penalty. If, after the throw the ball enters one of his own cups, wither by freak chance or interference by his team member, that counts as a score by the opposing team Distractions: Distractions that do not involve interference with play (ie. no fanning or blowing at the ball as it travels, approaching opposing players, covering the cups) are allowed. Ref has final say. The Ref Prior to beginning of a match, the teams can choose to appoint a ref, the ref has final say on the entire match, and may, at his/her discretion, impose just penalties for bad play etiquette, dishonesty or bad sportsman ship. The ref does not have the power to change any rules outlined here. Time Limit: Each match is limited to 15 (fifteen) minutes, if a winner has not been decided within the time, the team with the most cups left are declared the
winner. If each team have the same amount of cups left, each team has a chance at shooting until they miss. Drinking: Players drink in turns alternating from one team member to the next. Each cup has to be drink as soon as a ball lands in it. Play can continue as soon as a ball lands in the cup so it is up to the defending team to remove and drink the cup ASAP as to avoid the instant loss of having two balls in one cup.
