Wizards hat

Roll one cardboard sheet into a cone shape. Secure with a small piece of stickytape and put the cone onto your head.

This activity kit contains:
1. Make and do activity steps 1 - 6 2. Four template pages Visit http://play.powerhousemuseum.com to download any missing elements.

Adjust the cone to t your head. Tape the top and bottom.

Cut off the excess cardboard so that the cone is even.

Cut out and assemble the brim, following the instructions on the template. Then slide the brim over the cone. Trim inside to t and secure with sticky-tape. Diagonally fold the cone three times in random directions to create a crumpled, dishevelled look.

Things you need:


2 sheets black cardboard coloured or metallic decorative card stapler scissors sticky tape glue

Cut out decorative templates (or design your own) and attach them to the hat using strong paper glue or sticky-tape

Template 1
Wizards hat brim: 1. Print this template four times. 2. Cut out the quarter-circles and stick together to form a circle (see right). 3. Use the circle as a guide to cut your hat brim out of cardboard. 4. Cut along the black line to start the inner hole.
