BOLA AT WALIS Materials: Plastic balls (different in size) and 2 brooms. Instructions: Two teams compete in this game.
The first players of the teams must sweep a ball with the help of the broom to the chair (5 meters away from the starting line). The player must pass the ball round it and return back to his team with the ball. The second player of each team sweeps 2 plastic balls, the third 3, the fourth 4, the fifth 5. The team, who manages to pass the greatest number of balls, wins the game.
COIN BROWING Materials: One peso coin Instructions: Form the group into a Circle. Draw a small circle in the middle at just enough distance from each person. Give each player a coin and at your signal ask them to throw the coin into the circle you have drawn. Persons who are able to shoot their coins into the circle are qualified to the throw for next the round, those who fail are eliminated. Continue the contests until one or two champions are chosen. Variation: You can also draw a line on the floor and line up everybody on one side. Ask them to throws their coins toward the line. The person who throws closest to the line wins the prize.
COIN WALK Instructions: Give each child a coin to put on the toe of one shoe. The goal is to walk to the finish line with the coin in place. You can also use a hard candy.
DAYAP RACE Materials: Provide a dayap (Lemon) and a stick for each player. Instructions: Each contestant must use a stick to roll a lemon to the finish line. The first to finish is the winner. You cal also group the players into team.
NAMING GAME Instructions: Players choose a category to name and they take turns to name something belonging to that category without repeating those that already been mentioned. For example they choose to name all animals. Each player takes his turn to name one. This game could be played with cities, geographical regions, flowers and so many other categories. The one who names the most wins.
COIN TOSSING Materials: 3 small Tupperware cups of different colors, white, blue, green which you should place close together at a distance of 3 meters from a line. Instructions: Give each player five (one peso) coins and instruct them to form along the line. They are to throw their coins towards the Tupperware cups. Each time they shoot to the white cup, they get 1 point. If they shoot to the blue cup, they get 3 points, to the green cup 5 points, the highest earner of points wins the game.
FRUIT SALAD Instructions: Kids are asked to stand apart 2 arms length away from each other in a spacious room. With their hands on their waist they are to execute commands as dictated by the game leader. When banana is called they hop forward, melon they hop backward, atis they hop to their right, apple they hop to their left, fruit salad they rotate their hips twice. The leader then starts naming these fruits slowly at first then getting faster. The leader can confuse the group by calling out other fruits ( orange, manga ). Those who commit mistakes are immediately out until only three players are left.
LONGEST CHAIN
Materials: Box of Paper Clips per team Instructions: Divide players into teams and give each team a box of paper clips. In 3 minutes a team must make a chain of the paper clips. The team whose chain is the longest wins the game.
MIXED NUTS Materials: Mix some peanuts, kasoy, peas, mongo beans, rice. Prepare scarves or handkerchiefs. Instructions: Blindfold the players. Give each player equal quantities of the mixed nuts. The player who manages to sort this mix in the shortest period of time becomes the winner.
NEWS STRIP Materials:1 piece of newspaper sheet per player, some size Instructions: Give each player one sheet of newspaper. Starting from the top left-hand corner, they have to tear a continuous strip round and round until they have exhausted their sheet. The player with the longest unbroken strip wins.
PAKWAN AT MANI Materials: Prepare 4 plates. On 2 plates place 5 pieces of buto ng pakwan:, on the other 2 plates, place 5 pieces of mani. Gather 2 chairs. In front of each chair, place a plate of buto ng pakwan on the right and a plate of mani on the left. Instructions: Two players compete in this game. While seated on the chair the players task is to transfer the pakwan seeds from the left plate to right plate using the toes of their left foot and to transfer mani from the right plate to the left plate using the toes of their right foot. The player who fulfils the task first win the game.
TALENTED TOES Materials: Pentel pen taped between the toes of players, bond papers. Instructions: Have a contest to see who can draw the best picture on paper with their toes. You can add to the difficulty by blindfolding people.
YARN WINDING Materials: Different sizes and colors of yarn, or thread empty softdrinks cans. Instructions: Ask each kid to choose a piece of yarn or thread. At the start command they are to wind or spin their choice of yarn or thread into an empty can softdrink for 3 minutes. At the end of the time, each can is unwound. The longest thread or yarn is the winner.
BRING ME Materials: A list of things to look for (one copy per team) E.g. for a beach outdoor picnic a small corral, the biggest shell, a red tree leaf etc. Instructions: Give the teams the list of things to hunt for and give them a determined time to do it. The first group to finish wins.
LIMBO ROCK Instructions: Have 2 people hold a limbo stick ( curtain rod, yard stick, broom handle etc. ). Play some music while the persons stand in line waiting to bend backwards low enough to walk under the limbo stick. In order to win, the person must not touch the stick or make it fall to the ground while doing the limbo, after every round, the stick is brought lower until only one winner is left. As a variation, you can have boy-girl pairs to limbo together while holding hands.
LETTER SCRAMBLE Materials: Make 3 sets of alphabets in index cards writing one letter per card. Instructions: Form 3 teams of 5 players each. For each team distribute the letters of the alphabet giving 5 or 6 letters per person. Shuffle the cards first so that the letters are distributed in a random way. Make a list of several 5 letter words which a team is suppose to form ( house, phone etc. ) The words should not have repeating letters. On the start signal, call out the word which the team is suppose to form by lining up according to the proper spelling. They are not allowed to exchange cards with their team mates. The team who manages to form the word first wins a point.
FOLLOW THE LEADER Materials: Bond paper, colored pens or pencils. Instructions: Tape a bond paper on every persons back and make everyone form one line. Distribute the colored pens or pencils to each person. The first person serves as the leader who will go around the room and even out into the yard. All the other persons follow the leader in line and try to draw a picture on the piece of paper in front of them. At the Stop or Finish signal (three minutes), they stop drawing and exhibit their drawings. This is a guaranteed giggler.
SIGN MY ARM Materials: Give all of your guests a marker or pentel pen and have everyone at the party put a brown paper bag over the hand they normally use for writing. Instructions: When the host give the start command, everyone in the room must obtain as many signatures as they can. It isnt as easy as it sounds though, because each person has to sign using the hand they dont normally sight with, e.g. left hand for right handers etc. They sign their names on the paper bags placed on the signing hand of their friends. At the end of 5 minutes, the person with the most signatures is the winner!
NEWSPAPER DANCE Materials: A large sheet of paper per couple Instructions: Every guy-girl pair is given a piece of paper which they place in front of them. When the music plays they are to dance outside the sheet of paper. When the music stops, they are to get into the paper and make sure they dont fall out of it. The pairs who fall out are disqualified. The paper is folded in two and the music played again and dancing continues. The paper gets folded smaller and smaller every time the music stops. The pair who manages to stay within the sheet of paper as it gets smaller wins.
BOAT IS SINKING Instructions: Let the participants stand in a semicircle. Tell the participants that they should imagine being on a sinking boat. The available rescue boats can only accommodate a specified number of people with a number varying from one round of the energizer to another as announced. While the participants move around freely in the room, announce loudly The boat is sinking, go to the rescue in groups of four (or any number) so the participants rush to form group four. Those who cannot find their rescue boats will get a warning. At the end of the game, let the three participants with the highest number if defaults entertain the group with a song, pantomime, etc.
DIVORCE Instructions: Let the participants stand in a circle ask the participants to form a pair with their left neighbors starting from the ________ standing next for you on the left. Give instructions like hand to hand or head to head, etc. the pairs perform together certain activities which you announced. After a while, announce DIVORCE and are love to love on new partners. Then give new instructions like knee to knee, back to back etc.
