2012 Art Exhibition for Primary Schools The Scarborough Art Show is hosting the ArtSpark competition again

this year. We are seeking the young talented students attending public schools in the Northern Illawarra, extending from Helensburgh to Waniora Public to submit an entry. Students can enter new works in one of 3 exhibition categories which will be on display at the Scarborough Art Show on the weekend of 6th & 7th October 2012.

Getting Ready its all in the detail! Entry is open to all public school children from Kindy through to year 6 at public schools located between Helensburgh and Bulli Only 1 entry per person Artworks must be ready to hang either on canvas or in a frame, with D ring or cording attached. We are unable to display laminated art paper and cardboard frames. Bluetac or pinned artworks are unable to be hung. Art Sizes: Maximum A3 size (42cms x 29.5cms) either landscape or portrait. Sculpture or 3D pieces must not be greater than A3 square in size. All paints and glue must be dried. We cannot accommodate multimedia or installation art due to limitation of size and facilities Thursday 13th September 2012 is the final date for you to deliver your artwork to your school coordinator. Arrangements will be made to transfer the work to the Scarborough Art Show (and also returned to you after the show early term 4) Jo Reed Event Organiser kids@scarboroughartshow.com The Selection Panel will choose the best works which will be showcased at Scarborough Public School during the weekend of the Scarborough Art Show (Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th October) for the general public, artist and crafts people to see. Check our website on Friday 7th October to see if your work will be displayed in the ArtSpark exhibition. Category winners will be announced at our Opening Night (over 18s sorry) and available for children to view on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th October. Peoples Choice Award and ArtSpark category winners will be presented with their prizes on Sunday 9th October at 2pm. All care will be taken but no responsibility will be accepted for loss or damage prior to, during, or after the Exhibition. It is a condition of entry that all art entered into the exhibition can be safely hung and no danger of injury to the public.
