News From Room 207
Week of 9/24/12
Welcome Fabulous Fourth Grade Families, I really enjoyed having the opportunity to touch base with all of you at Curriculum Night. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you for wanting to be involved and supportive of your childs academic life. I am looking forward to a great year! Starting on Tuesday mornings, I will be offering math help for those children wishing further opportunities to practice previously taught skills. The math help will begin promptly at 8:00am every Tuesday morning. Please let me know if your child is planning on attending. We certainly enjoyed our Slumber Party on Friday. Your children have already begun earning points towards their next WONDERFUL party. They will need to earn five more points this time. A parent volunteer list will be coming home at the end of the week with volunteers beginning next week. I am still looking for a Room Parent or two. It is a relatively simple job. You will need to coordinate three special events during the year. I already have a list of volunteers for each event. A permission slip for our upcoming field trip to Lowell Mills on Friday, November 2, 2012 is coming home in Monday folders. It should be returned by Friday, 9/28/12. The cost is $7 per child. We will have a limited number of spaces for chaperones. Please let me know if you are interested.

Journey of Edward Tulane by Katie
DiCamillo. Once, in a house on Egypt Street, there lived a china rabbit named Edward Tulane. The rabbit was very pleased with himself, and for good reason. He was owned by a girl named Abilene, who treated him with the utmost care and adored him completely. And then, one day, he was lost.
