The Early Childhood Education Program at Towson University has a rich legacy of preparing effective teachers and practitioners for children from birth to 8 years old. As you are aware the professional program is 3 full time semesters. The final semester is a full time internship, teaching at the preprimary level (pre-K or K) and at the primary level (grades 1-3).

that while you have met the qualifications for admission into the Early Childhood Education Program, vou must maintain a 2.75 GPA overall and a 3.0 GPA in vour orofessional education courses. Any course with a grade of D or F must be repeated and willjeopardize the advancement to the next level. All outstonding courses must be completed to be opproved for "groduotion." Since the professionol progrom is full-time, minimester ond sunmer sessions will be the only opportunity to sotisfy deficiencies- See your odvisor for more specific detoils ond continue to monitot your progrom using the "Degree Progress Report" in PeopleSoft.
