It is strongly recommended the Auxiliary Pump is changed prior to installing Push Button Control Unit.

Perform steps 1 - 2 prior to installation.

Turn ignition off and disconnect (L) Left and (R) Right connectors from Climate Control Unit. Auxiliary water pump test. Remove connectors: Set meter to Ohms: (+) L pin 13 (-) L pin 10 = greater then 6 ohms Set meter to Amps: (+) L pin 10 (-) R pin 12 Turn key to the run position. Current draw = less than 1.5 amps.

IF NOT, REPLACE AUXILIARY WATER PUMP OR WARRANTY IS VOID.

GENERAL TROUBLESHOOTING NOTES


ORIGINAL UNIT PROBLEMS

SymptomsTest/Suspect Problems
No control, flaps, heat, A.C. Air outlet temperature too low when heat is at max. Check fuse.

Solution
Replace fuse. Replace Auxiliary Water pump.

Auxiliary water pump test. Remove connectors. Set meter to ohms. (+) L pin 13 (-) L pin 10 = greater than 6 ohms. Set meter to Amps: (+) L pin 10 (-) R pin 12. Turn key to the run position. Current draw = less than 1.5 amps.

Higher or colder temperature desired. Auxiliary fan on all the time.

Mono valve defective. (+) L pin 13 to 19 ohms.

Temperature switch open below 105 C.

NEW UNIT PROBLEMS Symptom


Low or no A.C. output.

Test/Suspect Problem Solution


Replace sensor.

Evaporator Temperature sensor (-) R pin 10 (+) R pin 4 = 9.5k ohms @ 77 Fahrenheit.

In Car Temperature sensor. (-) R pin 10 (+) R pin 2 = 9.5k ohms @ 77 Fahrenheit.

Outside Temperature sensor. (-) R pin 10 (+) R pin 9 = 2.4k ohms @ 77 Fahrenheit.

A.C. Cutout Control Unit defective. A.C. Compressor low pressure switch/low refrigerant pressure.

Faulty sensors, test as listed above. A.C. Cutout Control unit defective. Blower cannot be switched off. Blower fluctuates up and down, or runs at half speed. Blower Regulator defective. Blower Regulator defective. Interior Temperature sensor ventilation not working.

Temperature Control inaccurate.

Heater Core temperature sensor. (-) R pin 10 (+) R pin 7 = 9.5k ohms @ 77 Fahrenheit.

Engine Coolant Temperature sensor. (-) R pin 10 (+) R pin 8 = .9 - 1.8k ohms @ 140 Fahrenheit.

Engine Coolant Temperature sensor. (-) R pin 10 (+) R pin 8 = .9 - 1.8k ohms @ 140 Fahrenheit.

Outside Temperature sensor. (+) R pin 9 10 = 2.4k ohms @ 77 Fahrenheit

(-) L pin 9 = 11 (-) R pin

Replace Mono valve. Replace sensor. Replace sensor. Replace Switch.

Replace sensor.

Replace sensor.

Replace sensor.

Replace A.C. Cutout Control Unit. Repair as needed. Replace sensor.

Replace sensor(s). Replace as needed. Replace as needed. Replace as needed. Replace Aspirator Blower.
