Wedding Day Preparations The most important day of my earthly life has been, and forever will be,
the day I married my wife. During the time of preparation for that day, my thoughts were consumed with perfection as I memorized my vows and practiced the song I was to sing. The wedding was the day that my wife had been waiting for her whole life, and I wanted her to feel that I understood this and put my whole being into this one day. We had communicated daily about what we expected our wedding day to be like, and we had met for pre-marital counseling every week for two months to discuss things with the pastor. We consecrated our lives for each other and fulfilled YHWHs marriage covenant on that day. We became one. Each of our own wedding days is a personal message from YHWH. The Father, in his infinite knowledge that transcends time, created marriage as imagery for what is to come the most important event in human history since Messiahs resurrection. The message that YHWH intends to convey through our own wedding days should be the most hard-hitting lesson we ever learn from him due to the fact that everyone who has been married has personally experienced what I attempted to communicate in the first paragraph. And in that day, declares YHWH, you will call me My Husband I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness. And I will have mercy on No Mercy, and I will say to Not My People, You are My people. And he shall say, You are my God (Hosea 3:16-23). This unfulfilled prophecy will become reality in the near future, and those who love Messiah will be received as the bride of Messiah, members of
YHWHs family (Romans 8:16-17), heirs to the riches of eternal life (Titus 3:7), and a glorified existence with the promise (Galatians 3:29). YHWH Messiah Himself will come in the clouds (Matthew 24:30-31) to receive those who believed Him, both those who are alive and those who have died (1 Thessalonians 4:15-17). First, YHWH Messiah will send his angels to reap the rich and plentiful harvest of souls that have believed on him (John 4:35). Then He will throw the refuse of that harvest away, and those unbelievers will go into wrath and judgment (Matthew 3:7-12; Matthew 13:2429; Revelation 14:14-20). It is for this time of YHWH Messiahs coming that His people, His bride, have made herself ready (Revelation 19). Knowing that those who believe have been set apart for marriage to Messiah, and realizing that our marriage to Messiah is infinitely more valuable than our earthly marriage, we believers ought to prepare ourselves for that imminent wedding day when the treasures of Messiah will be bestowed upon us as co-heirs with him. YHWH has commanded us and even pleaded with us to purify our hearts (Matthew 5:8; James 4; Hebrews 19:10-25). In the end, love for others will be difficult (Matthew 24:12). Many will be our enemies, but we still have to remain pure in our love and intents for each other. We have to realize in our hearts and prepare our minds for times of great tribulation, and we must keep our faith so that we love others until the end. This is the kind of pure bride that YHWH desires. We look around us now, and we see church meetings bloated with mediocrity and nominal Christian living. Do you really think the church has prepared herself in the same way a bride is prepared for her husband? Do you really think YHWH
Messiah is ready to receive them? But the time of great tribulation will come, and there will be a purging. The Roman persecution strengthened the holy assembly with the blood of the apostles. And so the time of tribulation will purify the souls that the Spirit has sealed. Great signs and acts of courage will again be done in the holy assembly of YHWH during those days. Anyone can love those who love them; even the evil do this. So what is this to YHWH? But we are to love in times of difficulty. And we will do this, knowing that we will overcome the evil one with obedience to the Law of YHWH and the testimony of YHWH Messiah. After the tribulation of those last days, we will be ready for the Groom. Because of that time of darkness, those who believe will shine like the stars of heaven (Daniel 12:1-3), and we will put on clean white robes and see YHWH Messiah, the Groom, for the first time since he ascended to heaven. At this moment of first appearances, both Messiah and the His people will see the one whom they love. This moment of joy will far exceed any emotion expressed in an earthly wedding ceremony, when a man first sees his bride. This will be a memory to last an eternal lifetime.
