uesdays American elections have left a lot of people profoundly depressed. But a lot of other people around the world are feeling deep discouragement as well. But there is a dazzling hope in the reelection of President Obama that most people do not see. People see the terrifying problems facing the United States and this worldand they do not see a solution. They dont have hope. But believe it or not, this is the greatest era of hope in mankinds history. Here is how Melanie Phillips, an excellent British commentator, reacted to the election: With four more years of Obama in the White House, Iran can now be sure that it will be able to complete its infernal construction of a genocide bomb to use against the Jews and the west. World War Three has now come a lot closer. Like it or not, this is the view of many influential people outside the U.S. In the article America Goes Into the Darkness, Phillips continues: It is said that, with likely gridlock in Congress over domestic issues, Obama will concentrate on foreign policy. We should all shudder. So far, Obama has empowered Iran to destabilize the region; supported Islamist takeovers in Egypt and Libya; is backing al Qaeda affiliates in Syria; refused to come to the aid of Americans being attacked by al Qaeda in Benghazi as a result of which four American officials were murdered; and hung Israel out to dry against its genocidal Palestinian attackers. see promisE page 12
Rumors are circulating that Lebanesebased terrorist group and political party Hezbollah is debating whether or not to stop supporting Syrian President Bashar Assad in the ongoing war in Syria. In early October, the Free Syrian Army (fsa) captured 13 armed Hezbollah militants in full uniform. There are also reports of a steady stream of militia casualties returning back to Lebanon from Syria. And the more Assads brutal crackdown is condemned around the world, the more Hezbollah also faces criticism from those who feel that supporting Assad is a hypocritical move on Hezbollahs part. Hezbollah is still supported by the Shiite majority in Lebanon, but March 14, its Sunni rival, is increasingly more willing to speak out against it. March 14 will undoubtedly also receive support from fellow a new coalition recently formed

Lebanon is dominated by Shiites for the moment, but if Hezbollah continues to weaken in the face of opposition at home and complications in Syria, the power may shift to the Sunnis, adding one more nation to the prophetic Psalm 83 alliance.
British Prime Minister David Cameron has floated the idea of a safe exit, with possible immunity from prosecution, for embattled Syrian President Bashar Assad. The solution-defying Syrian crisis is now in its 20th month and has recorded over 32,000 deaths. More than two people are being killed every hour in Syria. Reuters noted that for all their firepower, Assads forces seem no closer to crushing their lightly armed opponents, who in turn have so far proved unable to topple the Syrian leader. In spite of the apparent

strengths of pro-Assad forces, and the fractured nature of anti-Assad forces, the Syrian presidents days in power appear numbered. Back in 1996, Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry said the Bible indicated that there would be a drastic change in Syrias political
orientation. He said a prophecy in Psalm 83 showed how the Middle East was to split into two opposing power blocsand that Syria and Iran would be on opposite sides. As Gerald Flurry predicted, its only a matter of time until Syria will no longer align with Iran.

Asian Trade Bloc to Counter U.S.
CHinA DAily mAil | november 7 hina will later this month enter talks to create an Asian free trade bloc covering 28 percent of world gdp, a reaction to U.S. progress in forming a Trans-Pacific Partnership that excludes China, South Korean Trade Minister Taeho Bark said on Monday. The rcep, or Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership, will be comprised of the 10-nation asean club plus six others: China, India, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand. Its launch is to be formally announced at the asean summit in Phnom Penh later this month, with a goal of reaching a deal to lower trade barriers across the region by the end of 2015. rcep adds to a growing web of regional and sectoral trade negotiations that has sprung up after a decade of talks failed to conclude a global trade deal, the so-called Doha Round.

The Trans-Pacific Partnership (tpp) championed by President Barack Obamas administration aims to tear down traditional trade barriers and break ground in new areas, streamlining trade between the United States and 10 other countries. Bark said rcep had grown out of a plan to launch trilateral trade talks between China, Japan and South Korea. Some asean countries, worried about the trilateral initiative, pushed for a wider deal. If both rcep and the tpp came into
existence, they would be similar in economic size to the European Union. Those are the three big blocs in the future, Bark said.

Beijing is less than two years away from equipping its subs with nuclear weapons, according to a draft report released Thursday by a congressionally mandated U.S. commission. China is on the cusp of attaining a credible nuclear triad of land-based intercontinental ballistic missiles, submarinelaunched ballistic missiles, and airdropped nuclear bombs, the report said. For many years, China has had ballistic missile submarine capability, but it has been largely symbolic. Now it is poised to establish a near-continuous at-sea strategic deterrent, the paper said. The Chinese have already deployed two of an estimated five of a new class of nuclear-powered ballistic missile subs, which give Beijing its first credible sea-based nuclear capability, according to a separate report by the U.S. Defense Department. Expect Beijing to maintain focus on building military muscle as it strives to posture itself as the hegemon of Asia.
Since the end of World War ii, the United States has maintained a strong military presence in Japan. Throughout the last week, Japanese citizens in Okinawa, Tokyo and beyond marched in the streets to protest this presence after recent attacks by American troops on a local woman and children. According to the Associated Press, A U.S. airman is suspected of assaulting a young boy [on November 4] on the southern Japanese island of Okinawa, authorities said. The incident comes just two weeks after a curfew was imposed on all 52,000 U.S. troops in Japan after the arrest of two Navy sailors for allegedly raping a local woman. Other such attacks have happened in the past, and now many of the thousands of protestors demand the complete removal of all 23 U.S. military bases in Japan. If the U.S.-Japanese military alliance comes to an end, it could work to align Japan instead with China and Russia in a massive bloc that Bible prophecy says will confront Europe.

America re-elected this man after the Fast and Furious debacle; after his public support of samesex marriage; after his party erased God from its platform and then awkwardly jammed a mention of Him back in; after it became painfully clear that a black mans presence in the White House has not eased race problems, but if anything has made them even more volatile. Exit polls showed that the president had a 23 percentage point advantage among voters who were most concerned about foreign policy. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said on Wednesday that Congress would raise the federal debt limit from $16.394 trillion to $18.794 trillion if the government needed more money. Congress and President Obama reached a deal to raise the debt ceiling by $2.4 trillion last August, but now, after only 15 months, almost all of that additional borrowing authority has been exhausted. According to Reid, it looks like this new debt ceiling increase will take place early next year. If the Republican Party tries to block this move, Reid stated that Congress would find a way to bypass the opposition. There are serious consequences that will come from this election. Our elected leaders are going to help bring about some of the worst violence the world has ever known. If you feel anxiety about the recent elections, and the direction of the country, that is actually a good thing. It is the beginning of the right kind of change, because you will realize that you need to look for a real solution. There is hope, but most people refuse to see it. Melanie Phillips doesnt even see it. Obamas agenda has been crystal clear from the get-go: to increase the power of the state over the citizen at home, and to neutralize American power abroad. Four more years of this and hell almost certainly have succeeded. The impact upon western security could be cataclysmic. With the re-election of Obama, America now threatens to lead the West into a terrifying darkness (ibid). I have to emphatically agree with Philips on this point because it is exactly what Bible prophecy says! Would America be much better under a Romney presidency? It is essentially immaterial who wins, predicts an expert at the German Council on Foreign Relations. That countrys enormous economic problems leave the next U.S. president with hardly any margin of maneuver (German Foreign Policy, October 29). America has $16 trillion in debtmore debt than anybody has ever had on Earth. Nobody has ever borrowed and printed money the way America has. How long will it be before the dollar is in a catastrophic state? German Foreign policy continues: The weight of the usas total debt has become unsustainable both economically and politically. Bramal is the German Council on Foreign Relations, expert on the usa, who recently published the book The American Patient. The perception of America has changed a lot since our days as a superpower. Now we are looked upon as a sick patient on our death bed.
The U.S. global strategy of massive military presence to secure energy resources and trade routes, can no longer be maintained (ibid). America is becoming so weak that we will soon be unable to protect our own oil imports. Coupled with the fact that we wont even drill domestically, its a catastrophe for America. Are we willing to listen to our critics? God always warns people before He punishes them. In Ezekiel 33, God says He sends a watchman to warn the nations of the United States, Great Britain and Israel (for proof, read The United States and Britain in Prophecy). In verse 11, He says, Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel? God wants people to stop disobeying Him. He doesnt want us to suffer the evils of our addiction to drugs and pornography that destroys families. He doesnt want us to have to live in poverty because of our corrupt economic and political systems. He doesnt want us to be abused by corrupt religions. Then shall they know that I am the Lord, when I have laid the land most desolate because of all their abominations which they have committed (Ezekiel 33:29). God is sending curses on us because He wants us to change our ways and turn to Him. Unfortunately, it is going to take a lot of suffering for many people first. We are heading into a terrifying darkness in this country, as Melanie Phillips put it. But that darkness is the very thing that will ultimately make us get to know God! It is only by obeying God. By applying His laws and principles of life that we can bring real hope and joy into our lives. We do need real change to solve our problems. And even though we will go through some dark times, God will bring that to passwere almost there! Take hope in that.
