Action Plan

YEAR 1 - Establish the academic foundation of our program (expectations, requirements, goals) -Develop a sense of accountability in personal behavior (Program Pillars, Mental, Moral, Physical, and Spiritual): STAY OUT OF TROUBLE! - Evaluate, and determine what needs to be done to get to next level. - 70+ participation (JV and Varsity combined) -Develop strength and speed. -Build a sense of TEAM Battalions, Leadership Council. -Build great relationships with our parents, players and campus family. -Establish a community service program. YEAR 2 -Vertical integration from middle school through the Varsity program (JV Participation and Retention). -Improve in every area offensively, defensively and on special teams. -Improve our academic performance. -Develop and improve strength and speed. -Build a sense of Football Community: One Team, One Fight -Become a force in community service. -Commit to a 2 Platoon System. -Reinforce our Booster Program to financially keep us competitive and able to incorporate extracurricular activities (7 on 7, camps, banquet, etc) YEAR 3 -Continue to establish our Youth Outreach Programs in the summer. -Utilize our Leadership Core and Power Squads to hold our players accountable to each other. -Become a Championship Caliber community service program. -Have each assistant coach take a stronger role in the Power Squads. -Create an Anytime, Anywhere, Anybody mentality of competitiveness on the field. -Make the playoffs. YEAR 4 -Complete vertical integration of our program from middle school through Varsity. -Win the District -Win the Region YEAR 5 (This begins today) -Win the District. -Win the Region. -Play for a State Championship Plan to Meet Our Goals 1. Zero (0) ineligible football players a. Study Table: Twice a week b. Weekly Grade Checks c. Peer Tutors at Study Table (National Honor Society) d. Rewards for academic successes 2. Win the Conference a. Outwork the conference members mentally and physically b. Scouting the opposition is a key component c. Embrace and appreciate the history of conference games 3. Win all home games a. Make our stadium a place that is not enjoyable for opponents to visit b. Eliminate mental distractions associated with big games

4. Qualify for the post-season a. Win all games where we are the favorites b. Win games we are not supposed to win c. Condition bodies for extended season d. Develop depth to play in the absence of regulars 5. Average 28 points per game a. Points 100% of the time we enter the red zone b. 75%+ Touchdown percentage from the red zone c. Strive to end every possession with a kick. d. Establish flexibility in offensive system I. Balance II. Audible System III. Sight Adjustments e. Completion Percentage of 60% or better f. Give up less than 15 sacks during regular season 6. Average 12 or less defensive points per game a. Be fundamentally sound in all aspects including tackling and assignments b. Adjust our defense to strength or field indicators c. Effort from snap to whistle for 4 quarters d. Force the offense to run more than eight plays per possession e. Average less than 3 yards per first down Make opponents become one-dimensional 7. Be +5 or better in the turnover margin a. Respect the football b. Effectively rush the passer c. Maximum hats to the football 8. Average 4+ yards per carry a. Use motion and shifts to allow for maximum blockers at the point of attack b. Acquire the attitude that we want to run the ball c. Identify defensive alignments and make the necessary adjustments to run the ball effectively 9. Four (4) explosive plays on Special Forces a. Devote a large portion of practice time to progressive special teams b. Utilize our best athletes on special teams c. Attempt to pressure the kicker on punt returns and limit returns on our punts
