Handugan Programs: Empowering Filipino Communities

MISSION

Create the awareness among the students, employees, faculty members, and alumni through Handugan programs and projects that they could have the opportunity to share their talents, resources, and competencies to make our country self-sufficient and globally competitive physically, socially, and economically.
OBJECTIVES

Teambuilding Games were provided by the MPES Students who led everyone to enjoy the games and improved their unity. There was realization among the inmates regarding the importance of following the rules. The activity was coordinated to Atty. Rachel Ruelo, who heads the Correctional Institution for Women. An inmate explained that life needs activities and this is why we added joy in the gift giving we had entitled Spare One Merienda Papasko para sa Iyo. Intervention programs are much needed to rehabilitate the inmates. Atty. Ruelo always welcomes the teambuilding games like psy war game, which is popularly called GUN, RABBIT, AND WALL for people from all walks of life CAN TRAIN HONESTY, SELF-DISCIPLINE, FOLLOWERSHIP, AND LEADERSHIP THROUGH THIS GAME. An important impact of playing the game is the transfer of skill of developing mental toughness and self-discipline to follow the decision of the leader whatever action must unanimously do on signal. XIII. Detailed Accomplishment: Volunteers had a chance to forgo one merienda and experience having more significance in life by sharing love to the inmates. Inmates enjoyed and saw God through the kindness of the volunteers. XIV. Program Evaluation: Remarks: It was very successful.

Recommendation: Please give us more opportunities to make flowers because it is so interesting and enjoying making flowers out of neon colored paper.
