Unaware of Angels?
...Fear not: they that be with us are more than they that be with them. And Elisha prayed and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes that he may see. and the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and behold the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. II Kings 6:16,17 A dear Christian widow who had prayed for her well being, later shared this personal experience with me. She said, Just a few days after the death of my husband I awoke to a bright light shining down the hallway. I realized the light came from outside, but it was the middle of the night, so I peeked out of the bedroom door to see where it came from. Though I did not feel frightened, I was surprised to see the head and shoulders of a man outside the window made visible by the same light. He was looking away from the window, clearly standing there to guard my house. When I checked there was someone standing near each corner of my house which seemed filled with light. But, the most amazing part of the story is that my bedroom is on the SECOND STORY. I was never for one moment after that frightened to be on my own. A furloughing missionary told his experience to his home church, While serving a small field hospital in Africa, I traveled by bicycle through the jungle to a nearby city every two weeks for supplies. It was a two-day journey requiring camping overnight. Once, upon arrival in the city, I saw two men fighting, one of whom was seriously injured. I treated his injuries and talked to him about the Lord. Then I got my
medicines, other supplies and extra money, and returned home without incident. In two weeks I repeated my overnight journey to the city where I was approached by the young man I had treated. He said, Some friends and I followed you into the jungle, knowing you would camp there. We planned to kill you and take your money and drugs. Just as we were about to move, we saw you were surrounded by 26 guards. At this, I laughed and said that I was certainly all alone in the jungle campsite. The man pressed the point and said, No sir, I was not the only person to see the guards. My five friends also saw them, and we all counted them; we were afraid and left you alone. At this point one of the men in the congregation where I (the missionary) was speaking jumped to his feet and asked if I could tell him the exact day this happened. On the night of your incident in Africa, it was morning here. Instead of playing golf I felt the urging of the Lord to pray for you so strongly that I called men in this church to meet me here in this sanctuary to pray for you. Would all of those men who met me that morning stand up? The men who met to pray that day stood up; there were exactly 26. ...greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world. I John 4:4 Never underestimate the true power of prayer!

Mission Trip To France
During the months of July and August, we will be living in Larodde, France (population about 250) to assist missionaries living there. We will be engaged in local evangelism as well as using our technical and artistic skills in a summer camp ministry. The Auvergne region of France is one of the least evangelized in the whole country. While the majority of the people identify themselves as Catholic, few actually practice it. Our expenses are going to include our plane tickets, rent for two months in France, and other living expenses. Total: $5,500. We will be working to earn the money for the trip through: Computer repair remove viruses, tune up your machine or set up your computer to work the way YOU want it to. Artwork-have us hand draw a portrait from a photo or hand paint a picture to decorate your house or design a logo for your business or organization. Photography-Book a photo-shoot with us for portraits, engagement sessions, wedding photography, maternity pictures, or whatever you can think of. Visit Jordans website at: www.bearheadphotography.com There is always the option of the tried and true Love Offering. Make checks payable to Faith Baptist Church. A New Window On the World
The Building and Grounds Committee has taken bids on replacing the 22 window throughout the church including the Checkerboard Room, the Sunday School classrooms and the Fellowship Hall. The cost per window will be $210. In order to keep from having to deplete the general fund too much, they are asking for Sunday School classes to consider purchasing a window for their class or for individuals to purchase a window to help defray the cost. If you would like to purchase a window, there is a sign-up sheet outside Bro. Bobs office or in the front entrance of the Sanctuary. Place your name and phone number on the sheet and a member of the Building and Grounds Committee get in touch with you soon.
