ORDER: the letters first and third read. above, the Principal, K.S. Rangasamy College of Technology, Tirucherigode has requested the Government through the Chief Inspector of Factories to approve the M.E. (Industrial Safety Engineering) Course, a qualification necessary for the appointment as Safety Officer under Rule 3 '(1) (b) of the Tamil Nadu Safety Officers (Duties, Qualifications & Conditions of Serv,ce) Rules, 2005. He has stated that the college has obtained provisional affiliation with Anna University, Coimbatore, for the intake of 18 students for the academic year 2007-200S for the course M.E.(lndustrial Safety Engineering) and also obtained similar approval from AICTE for the academic year 2007-2008. The syllabus has been framed on par with the National Institute of Technology, Trichy (formerly Bharathidasan University). Syllabus and all the infrastructure information regarding faculty details are as per rules In force. (P.T.O.) In

The Govemment have carefully examined the proposal in para one above as recommended by the Chief Inspector of Factories, Chennai and decided to acc.ptU. 4. Under Clause (b) of sub-rule (1) of rule 3 of the Tamil Nadu Safety Officers (Duties, Qualifications & Conditions of Service) Rules, 2005, the Governor. of Tamil Nadu hereby recognizes the PG Degree (M.E.) in Industrial Safety Engineering awarded by Anna University, Colmbatore, as recognized qualification for appointment as a Safety Officer.' .
