What is the Summer School Scholarship?


This Summer School scholarship scheme is being launched in 2013 for students intending to study on the 2013 Kings College London Summer School. Twelve Summer School scholarships are available to cover full tuition fees of 1,350 each. Students must have received an offer of a place on the 2013 Summer School. Applications will be considered on academic merit only. The scholarships are for study on the 2013 Summer School programme and may be applied to any confirmed Summer School course (subject to availability). They are not attached to any particular course of study. Scholarship winners will be required to take part in promotional activities to promote the scholarship scheme and the Summer School. Am I eligible to apply?
The scholarships are designed to offer assistance to outstanding candidates who will benefit from the Kings Summer School experience but perhaps are in need of extra financial support. Applications are open to Home/EU or international applicants. In order to be eligible to apply, applicants must have applied and been offered a place on the 2013 Summer School.

Application process and deadline


Assessment of your application will be based on your supporting statement together with academic grades. Your supporting statement must not exceed 500 words and should be submitted as a separate word/pdf file and named in the format Summer School Scholarship statement (SURNAME, Forename). This should be emailed to funding@kcl.ac.uk

What should I do with my completed application?


Completed applications should be emailed to funding@kcl.ac.uk, together with your supporting statement and any supporting documentation. Alternatively, it can be handed in or sent to: Student Funding Office, Kings College London, G31 James Clerk Maxwell Building, 57 Waterloo Road, London SE1 8WA

Part 3: Supporting Statement Please provide a personal support statement of no more than 500 words clearly explaining why you wish to attend the Kings College London Summer School and what benefit(s) you feel it will bring you. This should be submitted as an electronic word/pdf file and named in the format: Summer School Scholarship statement (SURNAME, Forename).

Part 4: Declarations
I declare that the information that I have given on this form is correct and complete to the best of my knowledge. I understand that giving false information will automatically disqualify my application and disciplinary action may ensue. I understand that Scholarship winners will be required to take part in promotional activities to promote the scholarship scheme and the Summer School.
