Why is this a good location?


It is a suitable location in relation to mis-en-scene and location settings It is located within the school site so is an easily accessible location It is a large enough space to film an exterior establishing shot.

Why Isnt this a good location?


Noise pollution from neighbouring classrooms and roads can disrupt the audio of footage People are subject to walking through the scene without any warning as this is a communal area open to all sixth formers and teachers within the school (see picture, note faces have been blocked out for privacy reasons)

Location description: The location of scene one is a rustic style 1950s built building
located within the modernised Southgate School. The courtyard is a placid and quiet location with a large-scale tree box built within the courtyard with a large tree and bushes. The location is surrounded by greenbelt.

If you use this location what will you have to be aware of at all times?: We will have to be aware of the ongoing risk that students of the sixth form and
teachers are subject to using this location as it is a communal area so filming would have to commence during a quiet period. Notices can be put up to inform people of filming.

Why is this a good location?


It is located within the school site so is an easily accessible location It is a large enough space to film an arc shot and has a side room to execute shooting of Olgas cell Lighting can be controlled for maximum effect

Why Isnt this a good location?


Noise pollution from neighbouring classrooms and students walking down corridors If the bell rings during a shot it will render the footage as useless.

Location description: The location of scene two is a large media studio situated
within Southgate School. Facilities include a green screen and editing suite. Furniture is portable so can be stacked or folded down when needed to in order to film in a large empty space.

If you use this location what will you have to be aware of at all times?: As this is a classroom, furniture may be left out prior to lessons. Furniture may
need to be folded down prior to filming and set back up once filming is completed. Filming can only commence during lesson times timetabled.
