Salatul Ghufayla is an optional prayer recited between Maghrib and Isha prayers. It consists of two Rakats. In the first Rakat, Surah Al-Fatihah is recited followed by verses 87-88 of Surah Al-Anbiya in the second. In the second Rakat, Surah Al-Fatihah is followed by verse 59 of Surah Al-Anaam. A short or longer Qunoot is then recited, asking Allah to bless Muhammad and his family and fulfill needs, before completing the prayer with the usual ending.

Optional salaat recited between Maghrib and Isha prayers. It consists


of two Rakats. In the first Rakat recite Surah Al-Fatihah. Instead of
a second surah recite verses 87 & 88 of Al- Anbiya (Surah 21).

And remember Dhun'nun, when he departed in
anger; he imagined that We had not power over
him. But he cried through the depths of darkness:
'There is no god but You; glory bre to You; I was
indeed wrong.' So We listened to him, and
delivered him from distress; and thus do We
deliver those who believe.

Wa dhan'nuni idh dhahaba mughadiban fazanna al'
lan naqdira alayhi fanaada fiz zulumaati al laa ilaaha
illa anta sub'haanaka inni kuntu minaz zaalimeen.
fas'tajab'na lahu wa naj'jaynaahu minal ghammi wa
kadhalika nunjil mu'mineen.
In the second Rakat after Surah Al-Fatihah recite verse 59 of Al-Anaam (Surah 6)
With Him are the keys of the unseen, no one knows
them but He. He knows what is on earth and in the
sea. Not a leaf falls, but He knows it; not a grain in
the darkness of the earth, nor anything fresh or
withered, but it is in a Book Manifest.

Wa inda-hu mafaati hul ghaibi la ya'lamu-ha
illa hu. wa ya'lamu ma fil bar'ri wal bah'r. Wa ma
tas'qutu miw waraqatin il'la ya'lamuha walaa
hab'batin fi zulumaatil ardi walaa ratbinw walaa
yaabisin il'laa fi kitabim mubeen.
Recite following Qu'noot
O' Allah, I beseech You through the keys of the
unseen which none knows but You; to bless
Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and
to provide for my need...

Allahumma inni bimafaati-hil-ghaibil
lati laa ya'lamuhaa il'laa anta an tusal'li alaa as-a'-luka
Muhammadinw wa Aali Muhammadinw wa an
taqdiya haajati...
Then express your needs, and then finish the Salaat with Ruk, Sujood, Tashahud
and Salaam.

Below is a more detailed Qunoot, which is preferably recited in place of the above (short) Qunoot:
O Allah, Iam asking You for the sake of the hidden treasures,
that are in Your knowlwdge and no one else, please send
blessings on Muhammad and his family , and do with me ...
Mention your needs here, then recite:
O Allah, You are the owner of all my blessings, and You aere
able to fulfil all my needs, you are aware of my needs, I ask
You for the sake of Muhammad and his familly, fufill my
needs.
