Admission Notice for M. Tech. and Ph. D programs 2013-14 of DTU
Delhi Technological University (DTU) has been established by Govt. of Delhi by upgrading the erstwhile Delhi College of Engineering vide Delhi Act 6 of 2009 which has come in force with effect from July 15, 2009 with its notification in the official gazette. DTU is committed to attract best of minds for its faculty & students, ensure high academic standards and encourage research & innovation in areas of relevance to industry and society. Applications are invited for admission to the following Post Graduate and Doctoral programs of the University for the session 2013-14.
M. Tech. PROGRAMS
Application Forms for admission to 22 M. Tech. Programs in Applied Chemistry, Applied Physics, Biotechnology, Civil, Computer, Electronics & Communication, Electrical, Environmental, Information Technology and Mechanical will be filled On-line w.e.f. 25.04.2013 through this University admissions website: www.dtuadmissions.nic.in. The Details of the M. Tech. Programs offered, Educational qualification required, Seat Matrix, Application form and Procedure of Admission for M. Tech. Admissions 2013-14 are available on this website. Separate application forms must be submitted for courses offered by each department. The reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD category will be as per the approved policy of the Government of Delhi. Important Dates for admissions in M. Tech. Ph. D PROGRAMS
Ph. D Programs (Full Time, Part Time & Sponsored) are offered in the following academic departments: Civil & Environmental Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Electronics & Communication Engineering/ Mechanical & Production Engineering/ Computer Engineering/ Information Technology/ Polymer Science & Chemical Technology/ Bio-technology Engineering/ Applied Chemistry/ Applied Mathematics/ Applied Physics/ Management and Humanities. Eligibility and other details are available on DTU website: www.dtuadmissions.nic.in The number of Full time scholarships available for the academic session 2013-2014 is 50 (Gen-18, SC12, ST-07 & OBC-13). Scholarships are admissible as per rules of the University.
The number of Full Time, Part Time and Sponsored seats depends upon the requirement of the concerned department.
The applicants shortlisted for Ph. D Program are required to appear in the Entrance examination and those applicants who will qualify in the entrance examination will be allowed to appear in the interview. No
TA/DA is admissible for interview. Exemption from appearance in the entrance examination shall be as per the Ph. D ordinance of the University, the details of which are available on the website www.dtuadmissions.nic.in. NET qualified candidates having UGC/CSIR Scholarship can also be considered for admission to full-time Ph. D programs. This would be in addition to the number of scholarships mentioned above. The application form can be downloaded from DTU Admissions website www.dtuadmissions.nic.in and the duly filled application form be submitted in the University along-with a demand draft of R1,000/- on or before the last date of receipt of completed application form. The Demand Draft should be drawn in favour of Registrar, Delhi Technological University, payable at Delhi. Important Dates for admissions in Ph.
