Day 04: Coorg

After a delicious breakfast, set out to visit Talacauvery, famed as the region with the source of River Cauvery. Later check out the magnicent Abbey Falls which is located near Madikeri. The main attraction of Madikeri, Abbey Falls is a breathtaking waterfall where the Cauvery river cascades down a rockface from a height of 70 feet. In the evening, enjoy a spectacular view of the sunset from the Rajas seat, literally meaning seat of the King. Overnight at the resort.

Lake, the perennial fresh water lake, nestled among wooded hills, is one-of-its-kind in Kerala. Special attraction for tourists is the fresh water aquarium and boating. Make your way to the spectacular Soochipura Waterfalls. A real treasure of nature, these waterfalls descend from a height of over 300 ft. and will leave you speechless. Day 03: Coorg

After breakfast, you will head to Dubare, a world renowned Elephant Camp. Get up close and personal with these magnicent beasts as you mingle with some of worlds most groomed and tamed elephants. As a part of the experience, you can also bathe the elephants and feed them with your very own hands. Later visit the Golden temple, a Tibetan monastery at Bylakuppe. Home to over 6000 monks, it will almost immediately make you feel like youre in Tibet. Pay homage to the Buddha and later shop for collectibles at the Tibetan stores. Visit Nisargadhama, the man-made island in the hub of the river Kaveri connected by a rope bridge. There is a deer park within Nisargadhama. One can also enjoy an elephant ride at this place. Day 05: Coorg - Wayanad

Ooty Delight

Ooty, also known as the Queen of the hill stations, was much visited by the British during their colonial days. Its lofty mountains, great lakes, dense forests, sprawling grasslands and miles of tea gardens make it the perfect holiday escape. Not far, another well-known hill station of the Nilgiri hills, Coonoor offers its impressive views of the lush green hills and sprawling tea plantations famous for growing exceptionally aromatic tea. Coonoor is a serene paradise and an ideal laidback vacation destination. Coonoor, situated at altitude of 1839 meters, is the second largest hill station in the Nilgiris surrounded by tea plantations with a climate that is milder than Ooty. A very popular weekend getaway for the people in Coimbatore, Coonoor is essentially a small tea garden town where the weather remains pleasant throughout the year. Coonoor is on the toy-train line between Mettupalayam (28 km) and Ooty. Bird watching is a popular pastime as an extensive variety of birds can be spotted here. Day 05: Thekkady (Cycling Tour)

After breakfast, go for a cycle tour around the Anaerangal Lake. Youll ride along wonderful mountain roads to reach Nedungandom by lunchtime. En route, the ride passes through thick forests, cardamom estates and spice gardens that have made these hills world famous. Here you can either relax or explore the jungle. Periyar is one of the best wildlife reserves in India and has large herds of Asiatic elephants, Indian bison and tigers. For ornithologists it has over 330 species of birds including the majestic Great Hornbill. You also have a chance to meet some of the locals and see their fascinating lifestyles.

The cycling tour will last approximately 4 hours covering a distance of 30 kms. Return to the resort for the overnight stay.

Day 03: Munnar

After an appetizing breakfast, trek to Top Station. This trek starts through grasslands and tea gardens and goes up to Top Station. Top Station, named after the erstwhile ropeway station used for transporting tea to the factories in the plains of Tamil Nadu, has a spectacular view of the plains and of Kodaikanal, across the hills the hill station atop the Palani ranges. On arrival, proceed to Munnar. Check in to the Club Mahindra Resort and later head out for a trek. The trek will start from an altitude of 1500 m gradually ascending to over 2200 m. Located about 20km away from Munnar, Rhodo Valley Drive is the rst point on the trekking route. The route then passes through Shola forests and grasslands. It then ascends Meesapullimala, the second highest peak in South India. The area is rich in wildlife, and you might spot elephants, sambar, sloth bear and the Nilgiri Thar, the endemic and endangered mountain goat. After you return from the trek, stay overnight at the resort.

At a height of 3000 ft above sea level, Kulamavu is one of the most famous hill stations in Idukki, Kerala. It is an ideal place for trekking and tourists are sure to enjoy the aerial view of the area while trekking.

Sasthamkotta Lake
Situated 29 km from Kollam town, is the largest freshwater lake in Kerala. The view of the lake around the hills is breathtaking. Here you can take the relaxing eight hour trip between Kollam and Alappuzha, which is also the longest backwater cruise in Kerala.

Poovar Rafting & Trekking

Bamboo Rafting is a unique activity available in Thekkady. This eco-friendly activity takes tourists to the thick forests via trek and then to the catchment area of the Periyar Tiger Reserve on a bamboo raft.

Kumarakom Rent-a-houseboat
Surrounding Kumarakom's small cluster of islands are various canals, lagoons, and waterways. These numerous waterways make up what is known as the backwaters and one can rent a houseboat here. Those who like the adventure of living in seclusion would love this activity. Each houseboat commonly contains a living room, one bedroom, a bathroom, and a deck too. A local oarsman will pole the houseboat for you as you explore the beautiful scenery of the region.

Meen Mutti Waterfalls

Being one of the major attractions in Thekkady, The Periyar National Park draws a lot of tourists. Located on the banks of the articial Periyar Lake, the park is shrouded by dense jungles and green grass lands making it an ideal place for wildlife such as tigers, elephants, lion-tailed macaques, gaur, deer and sambar.

Ponmudi Hill Station

Ponmudi is a hill station located 62 km north-east of Trivandrum City. There are various other sites at Ponmudi worth checking out including the freshwater springs of the river Kallar, a deer park at the mountain top, the Peppara Wildlife Sanctuary, Golden Valley, Agasthiya Biological Park and Ponmudi Crest.
