Authority and Duties

Position Name Description The President is the leader of the Club and is there to ensure the Club is run efficiently, administratively, financially and socially to support the on field efforts of the Club. All matters concerning relations between the club and any outside person or organization should be done via the President for appropriate action. The President shall assume the Chair at all club meetings. As Club President, he is responsible for overall club direction and management and his position entails an important role model for all members with some of his duties including the following tasks: To be a supportive leader for all organisational members; Guide the other officers of their duties and represent the club at official functions; Facilitate effective management committee meetings; Preside at all official club meetings; In the event of a tied vote, the president has an additional casting vote.

Vice President

The Vice President is second in command to the President and shall assume the responsibilities of the President in his absence. The Vice President shall serve as a liaison between the President and any outside person or organizations. The Vice President shall also serve as a liaison between the President and the members of the Club. Additionally, the Vice President shall coordinate all committee and supervise plans for all club events. The Secretary is responsible for making and keeping all club records including registers, membership, bylaws, and records of all committee and club appointments, reports, meeting minutes, and correspondence to all external parties. The Secretary shall also be responsible for notifying active members of any and all meetings, and recording and distributing the minutes. This also includes chronicling events, activities, and meetings with external organizations. The Treasurer must keep an accurate record of all income and expenses. The Treasurer is responsible for all funds of the club as well as all records of any financial dealings, purchase orders, status, and club expenses and activities. The Treasurer is required to submit an annual report at the AGM. The Sergeant At Arms is responsible for enforcing that Bylaws are not violated, and that order is maintained at club events, and any club meeting. The Sergeant At Arms shall also greet any and all guests and ensures that they are introduced to all other members in attendance. He also has the responsibility to report any unseemly behavior or incident that cannot be resolved by the Sergeant At Arms, to the committee. The Sergeant At Arms has the responsibility for securing the colors or club identification that is owned by the club, from any member that retires, resigns, or is expelled.
