Extra-Ordinary General Body Meeting of NHPC Officers Welfare Society (NOW) was held on 24.10.2009 at NHPC Community Hall, NHPC Residential Colony, Surajkund, Faridabad to discuss the issues related to Housing Scheme and Group Insurance Plan for NOA Officers. Secretary, NOW, detailed the activities of the society and intimated to the house that NOW, has been duly registered by registrar of the societies, Faridabad and has obtained PAN card. Shri Swatantra Kumar, President, NOA and Shri Arvind Bhat, President, NOW also addressed the house. After that detailed discussions were held. Group Insurance Scheme. In regards to Group Insurance, since no insurance company have submitted any lucrative proposal which can cater the insurance requirement for the executives, it was decided to give another 1- 1 month time to the committee to obtain some good proposals from insurance company. B) Group Housing scheme The following option for group housing was discussed: a) To provide the flats in the existing housing schemes under construction by various builders: Four Reputed Builders, short listed after thorough screening of around 20 Projects in Faridabad, gave their presentations during the meeting. Please find attached a comparison chart of the presentations made by OMAXE, ORS, SRS and SPR Ltd as per Annex I. This is a special pricing + payment Plan, for NOW members offered by builders for a minimum of 50 apartments. Although all the Builders short listed are reputed developers, the constraint in this option is that there will not be effective control of NOW on aspects like carpet area, construction schedule and local area development etc. b) To purchase the land and construct the flats by our own: For the second option i.e. to purchase the land and construct the flats by our own, the possibilities of acquiring the land were discussed. Although this seems to be a good option, there can be legal implications involved in this option. Hence before going for this option a rigorous survey is required. Due to non-sufficient presence of members in meeting, it was decided to seek consent of the members (who have deposited the form along with required amount) for either builder flat or land purchase. Members are requested to list their preference in enclosed format below and send via e-mail to following e- mail IDs of officers mentioned below by 24.11.2009 along with First installment. Option of only those members would be considered whose payment (First installment+Rs.5100.00) is received by 24.11.2009. A) 05.11.2009
