Dear Pastor and Church Family, The principle purpose of the church is to spread the Gospel of Christ until His imminent return. Most will do that locally and some will tell their nation, however, there are a few whom God will have to take His Word across cultural bounds to a deaf and blind, dying world. My wife Alyssa and I are called to go to the people of Namibia. This desert country in southern Africa has been ignored or forgotten by man since the First World War. We endeavor to see God establish churches and save the lost among our people in Namibia. My wife and I were privileged visit multiple countries in Africa on our survey trip in 2008. Missionary veteran to Kenya, Eric Bohman guided our trip through South Africa, Kenya, Rwanda, and Namibia; all of which have great need. After months of prayer and consideration God showed us that Namibia is where He wants us to serve. The Lutheran churches that are prominent in Namibian towns serve as monuments to the once-strong missionary presence. Today, however, there is not one known fundamental missionary, and the people, though trapped by tradition, have forgotten that Jesus saves. In order to allow you to get to know me better, I have included a few items to show you a little bit of what the Lord has allowed me to do and experience. The items included are as follows: A Ministry Rsum, a Letter of Recommendation from our sending church, a Letter of Recommendation from Alyssas former pastor, and a few prayer cards. These items are included for your convenience; however, they are not comprehensive. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at any time. Missions Trips
Nicaragua- In 2005 I was able to go to Managua, Nicaragua with Missionary Bob Dayton. We passed out Bible portions and put a roof on a church while there. Philippines- In 2006 I was able to go to the Philippines with Missionary Bruce Rice. We did much door-to-door visitation, and held multiple Bible Conferences. AfricaIn 2008 my wife and I went to South Africa, Kenya, Rwanda, and Namibia. This trip was principally a survey trip. We visited some churches in Kenya, but the majority of the trip focused on visiting areas without churches.
Ministry Experience
Bus Ministry- Served in bus ministry for four years. Childrens Church- Served seven years as a substitute in all areas relating to Childrens Ministry. Intern- Served as an intern at West Jacksonville Baptist for two years and at Bible Baptist Church (Gainesville, GA) for two summers. Sunday School Teacher- Served two years teaching Sunday school to fifth and sixth graders. Summer Day Camp- Served two summers as the Director and principle teacher, planner, and preacher of a ten week summer day camp. Summer Camp- Served 3 years taking children to summer camp. For two years, I was the head counselor for our church.
