Powerful Commissioning and Servicing Tools

A comprehensive suite of tools to support the commissioning, installation and maintenance of the system. This includes remote access for interrogation and service via a modem, wiring integrity checks and fireplan simulation.

Multicriteria Sensing
The multicriteria sensor detects fire in 3 different ways (Optical /Heat/Ion). Diagnosis is therefore more accurate than any single method of detection.

Create Seamless Networks

Connect up to 31 panels together and retain control on large or complex sites. Also, new buildings or extensions are easily accommodated on the existing system.

Clear User Information

Display information is customised to the site requirements. Messages and actions are clear and understandable to the user.

Flexible Alarm Settings

Sounder circuits are run off transponders on the panel loop. This saves money over conventional sounder wiring and allows flexibility since each circuit may be programmed to sound individually in the event of an alarm.

Disable Button for Weekly Test

BS 5839 calls for weekly testing of the fire alarm system. Outputs to critical plant such as boiler controls however can be disabled simply without affecting the general test.

Timed Solutions
Detector functions can be switched on or off at varying times to suit the buildings use. For instance, a detector could operate as a heat detector during periods when the building is occupied then as a smoke, ionisation and heat detector when no one is present to spot smoke.

Flexible Input and Output Features

System 8000 has flexible fire and non-fire switching capabilities e.g. fire exits may be monitored. Opening such an exit could be registered at the control panel or activate a beacon output to alert staff.

TELE-DIAGNOSTIC

PROGRAM

(TEDIS)

Tedis allows an engineer to interrogate, diagnose and rectify problems on the fire system without having to be present on site. Using a PC and modem the engineer can dial into the control panel from any location even while on the move. Status identification and modification of the following are easily achieved; All control panel data Loop device data All customer specific configurations This advance knowledge assists the engineer to arrive on site fully prepared with the required materials, manpower and tools to complete the work first time. Tedis can also be used to provide remote assistance to a user over the telephone. Operation Fault finding & rectification

The 8000 control panel and devices are designed to offer an affordable solution to the protection of buildings with complex fire safety needs. A text display combined with LED indicators will clearly pinpoint a fire or fault condition. An historic log remembers the latest 200 events and there are printer and zonal display options. Panels comply with BS EN54 and are compatible with the requirements of BS 5839 part 1. They are approved by the demanding VdS testing authority and LPC approval is applied for.

The control panel has a unique bypass circuit. In a catastrophic event such as a lightning strike damaging the microprocessor, the panel will switch to a 2 state system and continue to provide detection for the building and its occupants.
