The BL-500 Series laser bar code reader is truely compact, at only 50 x 40 x 28 mm 1.97" x 1.57" x 1.10". The built-in decoder ensures long reading distance.

World-class 500 scans per second
BL-500 Series Laser Bar Code Readers boast a speed of 500 scans per second, among the fastest in its class. Despite their small size, all BL-500 models have built-in decoders.

The high-resolution models, BL-500H and BL-501H, can read bars as narrow as 0.125 mm 0.005".

Single-scan and raster-scan types are available
Single-scan type reads bar codes with one scan line. This is the best choice for stable, high-speed production lines. Raster-scan type reads bar codes with multiple scan lines. This type excels at accurate reading of flawed bar codes, such as those with ink spots or voids.
Stability indicator provides immediate visual confirmation of the optimal reading position.
A 5-level indicator provides real-time display of the performance of the bar code reader. The performance rate (% of maximum) and bar code reading frequency (scans per second) can be also monitored on a PC screen.

Clear, intuitive setup software (BL-50H1E)*
Simplify setup of your bar code readers operating parameters with the Windows-compatible setup program. Anyone can perform the initial setup with ease. Whats more, the program allows you to manage data easily on computer.
The standard Windows-style interface makes setup of the bar code readers operating parameters simpler than ever.
The software includes presets for seven common types of bar codes. Detailed settings let you adjust the parameters to suit your application.
The versatile software lets you finetune the communications settings for compatibility with a wide range of equipment.
*BL-H1WE for windows 95 is also available. See the BL-700 Series Software section.
[Windows Terminal Program] The performance rate (% of maximum) and reading frequency (scans per second) is clearly displayed when the BL Series is in test mode.
